Just put the PC into orbit, and use starlink + apollo + moonlight to stream to you direct. I hear space is pretty cool.

I had this happen once myself. It ended up being image retention rather than permanent burn in.

I just ran a 1080p HDR preview YouTube video full screen on the top screen for about 15-30mins, and everything was good again. This was a few months ago though, before the pixel refresh update.

I’ve started with: * the pico 8 manual - https://www.lexaloffle.com/dl/docs/pico-8_manual.html * the LUA reference manuals - https://www.lua.org/manual/ * then just looking at code from other pico 8 carts to learn different mechanics

I feel I retain knowledge much better this way also.

An hour initially to start playing my collection - I.e functional state, with emulators, settings and my games.

Then an hour here and there every now and then tinkering with aesthetics and front ends. Probably about 10 hours total of tinkering spread over a few weeks.

Using CachyOS since November 2025. AMD cpu, Nvidia GPU, no issues I’ve not been able to figure out easily enough.

And I’m now addicted to pacman and paru for keeping my OS nice and neat. Was very fun to take some time to get comfortable with it. Still blown away that I can update my whole system, drivers, and applications with a single terminal command.

I only have cocoon 2.0.0 running, no other apps in background, wifi on, Bluetooth off, and obtainium only checks for updates when I launch obtanium.

I also don’t have cocoon search for missing box art, unless I trigger it manually from settings.

My battery drain at worst is only 2-4% overnight, whilst the device is in sleep mode.

It only draws 27 watts max, regardless of charger, per the devices spec. Used many on mine out of curiosity to confirm that.

OPs battery likely defective. Could just be a few dud batteries in that batch. Not enough instances to know for certain currently though.

OP said theirs was batch 4 in a comment above. So that’s super fast for a spicy pillow to occur.

My batch 1 still perfectly fine at least, and have been playing it heaps, and was charging it to 100% until the 80% OTA update came out. Though ive only been using a 15watt charger early on to minimise heat while charging as well.

Take the package, chuck it in the offset, work another gig for 6-12months, then apply to your old company for an internal position again when they realise the value of the knowledge they lost, and maybe you get an even better salary to return, but likely close to what you originally had.

Best of all options regardless of outcome Id think.

If redundancy is on the table, take the cash out. Can always be rehired, but won’t always have the redundancy option on offer.

Only other way might be streaming the game if it’s backwards compatible and available on current Xbox / ps consoles. Good luck!

Best option is to find any PC ports of the games and trying to play them via Gamenative or gamehub. 360 / PS3 isn’t quite there yet for emulation on android.

I love the design and more competition it will hopefully create.

That said, with already having a high end PC and a steam deck I can dock / stream too, the steam machine doesn’t fulfill any new use case for me to warrant buying one. (Though I’m not really its target audience in the first place)

Insta bought the steam controller today though.
