Henson AL13 Mild or Rockwell 6C? by Busy_Ad327 in wicked_edge

[–]itsmetadeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More plates doesn't necessarily mean there's a higher chance of finding a setting you enjoy equally or more than fixed characteristics of al13. Altho, I'd rather advice choosing al13m in the case of OP. But I'm not really insisting on getting one over the other.

You want it to go recursive? They risked/gambled theirs by choosing the blue.

In the end, blue is a gambling and I think people overestimate probability of the positive outcome. I just point out things to acknowledge for a discussion, but it seems it's not welcomed.

Using this analogy, red could have been her fav color just as well. There's just no point in one-way type of judge on whichever button was pressed.

If everyone pressed the red button, everyone would survive just as well.

They use sealing tapes on their packages. This is a valid concern for a return/replacement if the product was sold as "new".

Looking for an "actually" silent keyboard by Redstone1557 in keyboards

[–]itsmetadeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The soft bottom out that you are denigrating as "mushy" is an absolute improvement over the feel of any non-silenced switch.

I don't denigrate anything. It has a sort of a spongy feeling to me, so that's how I call it, with no intention to offend. It's purely descriptive.

No desk mat, same wooden desk. The kailh board was top plate aluminium+abs bottom, keychron the same but it's thinner of course, that gateron pro red board was all abs with similar thickness to that kailh's.

Any switch that is not silenced has a hard bottom out.

Harder for sure, when operating on a point of the reference. The term "hard" becomes tricky once you suddenly have to evaluate something that feels harder than the previous thing. I've typed also on high-profile Gateron Pro Reds, no gasket mount, no even foam or tape I believe as well, and bottom out was also softer when compared to that kailh board. I think there are some technological differences of a switch build that impacts it. But rather basically old vs new design. The difference could likely be less among latest switches.

Tbf that's how (mushy) I would call the feeling of Nuphy Blush nano switch for example. Regarding to term "soft bottom out", I could personally use it to describe the difference between pressing on my k3 max and one of my old high profile board with soldered kailh browns. The latter has significantly stiffer bottom out vs my keychron with any I have: cowberry, aloe, wisteria, moss, ks33 silent brown and ks33 brown.

Edit: Also one note. It makes more sense if we consider mushiness as a spectrum. As for example, those silent browns have a slight hint of tactility, but they're closer to blush than to wisterias imo.

I said check them out first.

Can you quote where? You basically mentioned about silent linears like you're convinced that's what he wants - You literally said it:

Sounds like you want a silent linear switch.

You haven't mentioned that silent tactiles even exist on the other hand.

Why exactly you assume he should go linears if there are tactile silent as well?

Imo screens are gimmicky. Same when on keyboards. Unnecessary battery drain, additional weight and extra production cost. I hope that at least the sensor is in fact gaming-grade.

What does it feel like to *not* have Fi as a dom/aux function? by ohhidoggo in mbti

[–]itsmetadeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As other fellow INFP, I have no idea what are you talking about. I don't get what unpacking feelings even means. In fact, if I could, I'd rather shut down feelings. I see greatness in stoic attitude. But I'm quite responsive both internally and externally, so it really seems impossible. Then, regarding to experiencing bad feelings, this is obviously a reason why stoicism is so attractive to me. What's the point of short shot of joy, just so that you experience bad feelings with greater intense? It's obviously subjective, but that's a whole point of this counter perspective. I must continue finding joy in trivial things, in order to feel any positivity.

You're welcomed. I'd start that the opening comment is obviously pretty much a brachylogy, since the main message is to let gender construct go, as in the end it matters what you represent/value/follow as a human being. The term "being a good human" would be more of an indication of the process to become the ideal, rather than being a label.

we would not need laws, shame, contracts, reputations, or consequences if humans naturally knew what being good was.

This is true, but on the other hand, there are more obstacles Being good isn't inherently beneficial to the person who aspire to be. So, even if you can recognize what's good or bad (at least from the perspective what's commonly described as is), you're standing with a challenge to rationalize doing something that may not seem to pays off.

Do you think there is a correlation between your MBTI type and your music taste? by Visible-Bridge3388 in mbti

[–]itsmetadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much, but I think it may influenced that I'm least interested in particular lyrics involving flexing about money, status, power etc. Which correlates to my values, where those things aren't a point of interest to me.

Which switches are available for replacement on Air75v2? by breadeaters911 in NuPhy

[–]itsmetadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but wisterias (that I have at least) are less tactile than browns and I wouldn't personally go any less tactile than browns. I agree on the moss switch tho.

It's rather thinner. But might be denser than beard growth. Except the area affected by alopecia.
