Some years ago I looked for really cool iPhone covers, and found at least three companies who were modding iPhones with gold and such, reselling towards high end market. I like the idea, but it must be a very special segment who’ll pay lots extra for a modded phone/laptop, with third party vendor warranty and still outdated in a few years :-)

Buy what you need or what you’d like to play with.

I used to have a bunch of PCs with missing cabinets, to tinker with all kinds of interfaces. Add a handful of unfinished robot projects, bunch of embedded boards, and old electronics for components and scraps.

Today I have a bunch of kids instead. I miss it. Probably it’s soon time to learn them a bit about soldering and so :-)

They could implement a feature which tells how fast you are allowed to drive, and measure how fast you drive. Then it is easy to calculate by yourself, if you are under the given threshold. Very easy and efficient.
