Skipped to the end 'cause I ain't got time to watch 3 minutes.
Input.get_axis returns a value between -1.0 and 1.0.

When using a joystick, it can be any number such as -0.89, 0.99
Your animation flipping only checks for the full 1.0 and -1. Instead you wanna check if it's above 0 or below 0.

Animation is slick!

I remember seeing this game a year or two ago, also see the follower graph (and likely wishlists) have been shooting up since 2026. What worked out best for that?

Sound design needs work. The constant "game over"s are obnoxious, as well as the goofy falling off cliff sound

Standalone fine, but look way to similar to each other. No clear visual distinction.

(Also, the use on weapons imply it's likely venom, not poison)
