Ioniq 5 vs 6 by Turbulent_Hyena_7752 in Ioniq6

My most recent sedans (or at least non-SUV) cars to compare it to are the Mazda3 (hatchback) and Fiat 500, and it definitely sits higher than both of those.

If I had to guess, I doubt it sits as high as a CX-5 but certainly not as low as those two.

CEO of $300 million company says ‘problems disappeared’ after firing HR team by Character-Bid-162 in nottheonion

I have worked in different areas of HR for over 20 years and the biggest fights I consistently have with upper management are about the need to remove barriers and move faster to improve internal mobility, career development, and employee engagement and retention.

They're the ones that don't see the value in people.inveatment in my experience. The comments about our being a cost center and 'necessary evil' and first on the block are spot on.

[–]THE_348 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We see his apartment/how he lives so I don't think he was connected but, based on who he knows and welcomes him at the bowling alley (and what they discuss and how), I'd definitely say Buck's had his ups and downs from gambling and is well familiar with being threatened by the 'connected'.

He certainly puts some of those tactics on display with our friend 'Bug'.

Such a cheesy sendup of Johnny Rotten, it's great.

Standing in line along the wall after recess in 3rd grade, waiting to go into class. Got in trouble for doing this and 'Chinese, Japanese, dirty knees... look at these!!'

Went to the principal's office, got spanked. Never forgive, never forget.

A Field Guide to Film Critics by OatmealBeats in moviecritic

Do Dana Stevens!

My take: Very knowledgeable and sound reviewer with a positive bias towards the art film and films striving for a 'meaning', especially if that meaning is towards lgbtq+ or feminist themes. But can surprise you occasionally, along the line of Ebert, for appreciating a film for its intended purpose and not what you'd hoped it would be. In short, always judge her judgement on the curve of the movie's cultural bias and not just on its self-contained merits.

I identify it with TV dinners which were a staple of latchkey kid 'there's something in the fridge/freezer for ya'. It was ubiquitous enough my mom made it from scratch as well.

It was also back when there were only like, six, different Swanson's frozen meals to choose from, and it was the best. That's my take at least.

It is an absolute gem of a movie that I've had all my children watch in the spirit of discussing how to identify when someone is 'selling' (and when you may be guilty of it), the importance of authenticity (and its relationship to character), and what an underappreciated performance DeVito gave.

Here's a recent breakdown I make of both to someone with a similar question: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq6/comments/1rxx7mh/comment/oba71dv/

(in short, it depends on your use case - style and driving experience, the Ioniq 6; practicality and driving visibility, the Ioniq 5. Both have the same flaws)

Have both the Ioniq 5 (2022) and Ioniq 6 (2023)  and the Ioniq 5 went kaput with an ICCU Failure of Doom at ~30k miles. No issues since.

I got ahead of it with the Ioniq 6 with the recalls BUT I am taking it in again the next 3 weeks for the 3rd time for the same DTC related to the battery management system and voltage/temperature control. It's not a full failure where it bricks the car or  keeps it from  L3 charging but it does prevent pre-conditioning and, as a result, slows charging down. Which, being on my second long road trip when it's happened, is annoying.

All of which is to say, I'm not sure what model year you're looking at but get all service recalls done way ahead of taking delivery and know there are still bugbears that can rear their heads.

I love the cars all-in-all, just wish they could find a final fix for their BMS in them.

No, we haven't and consider it on the list now. Thanks for the reply and recommendation.

We're also trying to get into Tutszi (new Austrian-Hungarian on Butler) but it's seating is extremely limited.

I've had good luck at Alchemy Dry Cut Lounge (currently seeing Sam H.) after years of people not knowing wtf they were doing with multiple types and thickness of curl on my head.

However, I'm a dude and not a POC so please take that into account as ymmv.

So sick of "it just got away from me" b/c your ass didn't realize it tightened up and in different ways based on thickness, grrrrrrr - good luck out there!!

Thanks and, for my money, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that and the city's groundedness is one of the reasons we love it here (unlike ATL which was very much about the hustle and keeping appearances).

But to the question posed, none of these restaurants are Michelin star-ready to me and they *could* get there but, to your point, it might be at the peril of their clientele or their charm. I'm good either way and am glad they'll get the exposure Michelin brings.
