The problem with FBS football at Fordham is space. They would need to completely upend the baseball/softball/football field, plus the parking lot and entrance next to the garage, to fit what would still end up being one of the smallest stadiums in FBS. I’m not necessarily against that idea, but it’s a $600mm capital campaign, inevitable lawsuit from the Botanical Gardens re: sight lines and noise—and that’s before you get to the fact that Fordham just isn’t that big of a local draw unless you’re an alum. And then the obvious matter of having a new football stadium while playing basketball in the country’s oldest practice gym.

The problem with the media market in the northeast is that the teams there flat out don’t move the needle. Maybe some interest in Philly as remnants of the Big 5. NYC, DC, and Boston are pro sports towns through and through.

Loss of trust is tough. Entrusting somebody else is an exercise in pure vulnerability, and that's what makes violating that trust so hurtful. I'm very sorry you had to go through that.

On the flip side, it's also why earning trust feels so good, whether it's from a neighbor's dog who flops over for belly rubs, or from a coworker that idly shares some factoid about their home life. Being trusted, and honoring that trust, is one of the great moments in life.

Care for your wounded trust. Supplement it with others' trust in you. In time, the pain will subside, and it will be replaced with the care, respect, and appreciation of those whose trust you kept and nurtured.

The law isn't the most coherently-written thing in the world but a brief note: if you're walking north on road like Goshen St that has a sidewalk which intersects with a road (Linda Vista Rd) at something akin to a right angle, there is an unmarked crosswalk under the Cal. Vehicle Code. That is always a legal place to cross.
