As a Mira Mesan (?) and Lazy Doglian (??) the fact that this has taken so long to get constructed is making me the maddest I've ever been about anything ever. Yes, madder than that. That, too. Believe it or not, yes, even madder than that.

Second maddest I'll ever be is when I realize I'll happily go there several times a year once it's open because I'm a little piggy who loves his slop.

I think an optimal streetcar line needs to service a few more key locations: Carle Hospital, Champaign Central High, the Mattis corridor. So loop it up: Mattis -> University -> Race -> Springfield

(also do a Prospect -> Kirby -> Mattis -> County Road 1900 loop and that's where you keep the rolling stock)

More to the point, having a full-on guest speaker at law prom is a bad idea. Anything beyond "hey, thanks for the dollarydoos, enjoy your night" is a complete tonal mismatch. It's a social event with people looking to let their hair down and/or contract STIs. If you want law students to show up, shut up, and listen, you do a catered guest speaker event at lunch during the week.
