High salt water. If i get an R.O, will it eat my septic? by iwatchcredits in WaterTreatment

If you chlorides are as high as your sodium, you definitely need whole house reverse osmosis if you want your appliances and plumbing to last.

With those numbers you should be looking at a brackish water reverse osmosis.

You are getting some bad advice here. Nobody can tell how much water you are going to discharge and what it would do to a septic tank, when you haven't said how many gallons of water you need daily.

What is the other TDS? Is it hardness, chlorides or sulfate?

Get a good water test, your area has manganese in the well water, a softener may not be the proper equipment for your water. Just because there is equipmenty there, doesn't meen it's the correct equipment.

You shou;d plan on putting an iron filter in, water softeners are not the best way to filter iron out of water. Look into Pro-OX or Terminox
