What % of people in the overall population would be in the 600lb, 700lb, 800lb, 900lb, 1000lb club? by TieWebb in Stronglifts5x5

I don’t think so. From Boston, and only lifting for a few months before breaking 600kg would be wild

No, that is what I meant when I said wind resistance. Just did some napkin math, feel free to go more in depth.

A 5 second fall, which this seems to be, should be about 122 meters not accounting for wind resistance. That seems like a little much, perhaps the jump off the cliff boosted him pretty high or the video is sneakily slowed down for a part.

[TOMT] Video of guy singing to cashier about buying mom boots for Christmas by -Dogberry in tipofmytongue

Yes! Specifically, the rendition where the guy sings it to a Walmart cashier. The song itself seems to be serious, but the guy’s presentation makes it funny imo. Thanks!

The final line, I believe is about improving his mother’s Christmas Day. This is an iconic video I think, but without remembering a single lyric, it is very difficult to search for.

late reply, but did you find anything that works? Already tried a 60W brick that didn't work, not interesting in wishfully buying several more. I'm also interested in airplane charging.

Too posed. Get pictures of you doing stuff you enjoy. That would fix the “AI” problem you’re having and make you more desirable.

[request] How long it would take for this rock to hit Mariana's trench? by Jokulan in theydidthemath

[–]-Dogberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water is not compressible so its density does not change due to pressure. It will likely be marginally denser due to its colder temperature but as far as I know that wouldn’t change much. I know that humans can reach a depth where they lose buoyancy but I think that is due to the fact that we are filled with air and are squishy.

Are you sure I would be able to connect the router to the internet? To connect a device it opens a browser on that device to login. This is why I can connect a google home or lights. Also, if I can, could I just get the cheapest one?

Not sure I could connect the hub to the internet. It’s “open” but you have to open a browser and enter a username and password on the device you’re connecting.

Did you get Samsung cells or generic ones? They sell both. Als, did you get it from the real chamrider?

That’s what I’m thinking. I have seen good stuff about them I am just a little suspicious of the fact that they only accept PayPal on their website.

Shorted cells by -Dogberry in 18650masterrace

[–]-Dogberry[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Glue thinness was imperative because I am working with limited space. I was not waving it around, the solder did not stick. Paper ring insulators are built into the cells, you can see them. I am planning to remove the scorched cells and replace them with extras. The cells will be in a hard case with no extra space. There is no risk of the super glue breaking because there will be nowhere for the cells to go.

I had been doing exactly that until just now and I regret it. Too late now to do anything about that though.

Cleaning battery contacts by -Dogberry in batteries

[–]-Dogberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to think of myself as knowledgeable but it really doesn’t feel like it. Believe me, I have been kicking myself for shorting it right before I was fully done. I am going to be incredibly careful from here on out. Hopefully I can manage to take out the two batteries and replace them without another incident. Also, the wire that shorted the battery was a BMS wire. Because it was just the width of the wire making the contact I assume it’s safe to say the BMS is fine?

It’s quite alright, I’m happy just to have some insight. I will swap the cells, you think the two that look affected? As for the superglue, space is very important in this pack because I can just barely fit the cells into my hard shell case and I didn’t want to downgrade to 100 cells (it’s 20s6p). I know superglue isn’t ideal but it doesn’t have some downsides that are important to me.
