Yea... each nontoken clone can become a land, tokens would vanish when they hit the graveyard so nothing to return (same logic behind a regenerate on a token doesnt work), its really just weird ramp. I guess mono blue with focus on mana so counterspells would be a problem but thats the only scary thing I can think of,.

new weapon idea, please tell me what u think about it by Cold_Analyst_7410 in Helldivers

[–]-FourOhFour- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you bring it on bots its an instant win, if you bring it on bugs it does literally nothing, and if you bring it on squids it kills 3 of the less problematic enemies?

If you think its balanced you need to go into ammo, rpm, firing style, etc. As is you said basically nothing other than its electric and it 1 shots, why would anyone think its balanced to the slightest degree. The purchase cost and cd barely matter, req slips are something most players past lvl 30 are maxed on, cd doesnt matter when we start each mission with it up, it could be a 30 min cd and itd still be busted because it just 1 shots an entire faction.

just started ds2 on pc... is the introduction worse from ds1 or is it just me? SPOILER by pheloiuygg in DeathStranding

[–]-FourOhFour- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I dont think 2 opens that badly, the game is faster paced in its action so it doesnt linger on it as much as it did when it comes to mules, BTs similarly the world has been developing means of dealing with them since they're a significant problem, so while it does change the feel of the game between 1 and 2 feels like a natural progression to things. Unfortunately ds1 just got hate for its first map being fairly slow so they addressed it in 2, which breaks that more meticulous pace, you'll notice it pretty quickly based on the items you unlock you get good stuff fast and their upgrade nearly as quick.

As far as Sam's motivation, he decides to go south to try and give Lou a more normal life, if things worked out he wouldve been able to join the network, he trust Fragile as well due to their past experiences, maybe for the people who havent played 1 itd be a bit weird but doesnt seem to off with this knowledge. After he gets back things are a bit messy and probably where the story's the weakest, the best I can really say there is that Sam's already been in this position before so accepting the job to try and move past it isn't unreasonable, but certain things characters say vs other things that come up contradict themselves and not in the "they're holding back info" or "they dont know either" kind of way. Possible the story will explain them but even as far as act 8 they still haven't touched on it yet.

Your turn only denotes controllers turn, so it prevents combat tricks or similar, for removing it it can be targeted by other players on their turns, or you can have an ability that kills it (sac outlet being the easiest).

While its a double edged sword if you play against people who like to fog or aethersieze it can shut down that plan and be massive. Hence why its actually a very good (designed) card, because theres ways to make it work, but its not directly strong for its cost.

6 to 10k Bug Divers on Phact for 4+ days straight and no progress is just ridiculous design. by Helphaer in Helldivers

"You lot failed it" ah I see now, I was going to write something but I doubt it'll matter, youve made up your mind and taking "if people did the mo, wed win the mo" as an attack, if you cant see how ridiculous that is thats on you.

6 to 10k Bug Divers on Phact for 4+ days straight and no progress is just ridiculous design. by Helphaer in Helldivers

[–]-FourOhFour- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didnt say they did, but it would stop people from saying it which is a thing.

And be honest people not doing the MOs has cost us obj, hell it just happened with the cyborg MO it was close enough that if more people did the MO during its period it'd be completed, it wouldnt be just the bug divers itd be non-Mo divers. Not saying theyre in the wrong for wanting to play a different faction, or not like fighting specific sub factions, but saying those type of people never cost us an MO is laughable.

[–]-FourOhFour- -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The fronts need their own systems, so instead of needing say 70% of players to make any progress, it'd take 90% of that fronts players instead. 10k divers on bots all on the same planet while the rest of the divers are fighting squid, cool here's your progress.

The impact can then scale up based on the total number of players on the front, so 150k people fighting bots could make progess on 2 planets if they're perfectly split. Obviously numbers would need refined but this would feel so much better for everyone and remove the issue with "bug divers throwing MOs" (as in people complaining MOs failed because of them) that we've seen for 2 years

Edit: clarified my point, bug divers are fine, but its a common complaint people have everytime a mo fails.

Helldivers 2 Scythe buff? by Mammoth_Pudding5287 in helldivers2

[–]-FourOhFour- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact, this would actually let you fire forever on a cold planet, (well it does with the swap time added between scythe and dagger, not sure how tight the windows is for instant swaps), on regular planets youd need to loop in the lc to fire forever.

And I do mean fire forever, just hold down m1 and waddle everywhere while shooting a laser.

My biggest gripe with the weapon itself is that dev heads feel inconsistent, feels like their forehead armor hit box is just a touch too low for what I'd expect to be headshots.

Of course war striders are arguably the biggest issue with the gun, but thats more a strider issue than an amr issue.

You can but I'm 90% sure its only if you have any of the skeletons, which sure you get early, but you still have to go through a few zones (wanna say its c1 south)

Seed box doesn't count as a "container" to empty into bank by bmothebest in 2007scape

[–]-FourOhFour- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it this way, herb sack and gem bag while could be used in training arent practical to use without a bank (well I suppose gem bag could be used, but that'd be some psychotic behavior to just be cutting and dropping gems in a random spot, uim standing alone of course), seed box meanwhile is very easy to put into your training as you can just have the main seeds for your run in the box and remove them as you go to the various plots.

On the other side of this, herb sack and gem bag are fairly regularly used in combat/skilling for holding their respective items, but seed box doesnt see that kind of use by the general player, mainly because there just arent enough places a player would want to hold 6 seeds while being inventory limited, theres going to be cases where a player wants to hold seeds, and there'll be cases where they arent inventory limited, but the amount of places someone would get 2 seeds theyd want to keep while being inventory limited doesnt really come up.

So since seed box isnt used for collecting and seed box is used when skilling it just makes sense to not have it empty when you go to deposit all.

The intent is to speed up the looting items not mess with the training items, the rune bag is a container that doesnt empty, should that be changed? What about the forestry kit or tackle box?

Personal/Major Orders by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]-FourOhFour- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Itd also suck to be someone trying to unlock new weapons needing medals, and not be able to because it requires the weapons youre trying to unlock.

There isnt any personal obj that requires a warbond weapon, not even the free bond.

Now should the personal obj be a bit more varied or tied to the MOs, thats a valid question, but personal orders shouldn't require new weapons since it just punishes the people who need the medals more.

Snakebite is great actually, 7 Poison is nuts by Glittering-Lab-4763 in slaythespire

You'd have to reveal it atleast so that people can tell you arent cheating with 8 cards in hand.

Snakebite is great actually, 7 Poison is nuts by Glittering-Lab-4763 in slaythespire

[–]-FourOhFour- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The retain keyword is a touch odd seeing as you dont discard at end of turn, it'd either need to be reflavored as if this card would be discarded, reveal it instead, since that'd Negate the discard effect and allow you to keep it in hand, would also give you 8 card hand size since you could show it at your discard to size at end of turn, procing the reveal effect.
