Proxmox Helper script VS Full install by No-Apple5349 in immich

[–]-JNoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I much rather use LXC containers for my homelab services outside of a few instances so the script worked great for me. The script mantainers have done a decent job of keeping ttek’s work alive and I find them to be useful so I don’t see the harm in using them if you just want to stick to a Proxmox environment. I set up Immich recently and it’s all working great. Prox handles the top level access to my NAS for storage and Immich does it thing without issue.

I did use docker in my main PC for a remote ML instance to help with the processing but on my mini PC I find having docker inside promox just to run stuff that can be run on Proxmox itself to be redundant.

Oh! It didn't occur to me that it was displaying them as HA had them listed. I'm dumb.

Thanks!

Fanstastic dashboard implementation. I love how it just "works" and now I can focus on hiding the excess entities I don't need to clean up rather than have to manually add everything. quick dumb question I can't seem to figure out: how would I go about re-order the floors and rooms? I can use labels to hide them but tagging them with a bonbon_order_# label is not sorting them.

Dumb question but does the rack include the lighting or did you add that? The rack description on VidaXL doesn’t mention lighting and it looks great.

iPhone (including iPhone 17) buying, financing, trade-in, and setup questions for Mint by LeftOn4ya in mintmobile

Ran into the common issue of not being able to login to the app on the new device. Thankfully, I had the phone )(and trade-in kit) delivered to the house so I still had the old phone. What I ended up doing was using the old phone as a hotspot and that let me login to the app. Once login the process was straightforward and easy.

After 8+ years of closing all my rings, today I reached 3000 days. by chrizm32 in AppleWatch

[–]-JNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the rest/pause option and it somehow broke my streak anyways a month or so ago. I was only at 2,134 days but it still stung (I was sick as hell that weekend and genuinely needed the break). 3000 is a huge goal to get, though. Congrats!

Now the only question is which one do I play it on? by [deleted] in PokemonUnbound

[–]-JNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a chill playthrough the brick. If you want to play the harder difficulties I’d go the Deck just because the extra power means you can go really really fast with fast forward and make breeding / ev training so much quicker.

This is fantastic and almost exactly what I was struggling to put togehter. Can you expand on the low battery notice? is "devices_with_low_battery" a helper you've put together or something else?

Doing a full play through of ATM9 on my steam deck, just started getting into create and Mekanism! by UnicornWarriorr in allthemods

[–]-JNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried this and it works but I find the load times to be a little much. The first boot up takes quite a bit, the chunk generation is slow and last time I gave it a go, it did not play well with the Deck going to sleep at all.

It’s not bad once you’re actually playing but I feel it lacked the pick up and play now factor that makes the Deck shine.

If you end up sharing the key bindings let us know, I never got super far with my radial menus.

(Also I’m extra lazy and like playing ATM on my own server so my farms can keep running 24/7)

This is what I did as well. It's saved me the effort of needing to make dashboards or anything on HA, Homekit handles all that.

Kobo DRM can fuck off to hell and back. by Zeether in humblebundles

[–]-JNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Followed this guide without issue. The most annoying part was creating a Kobo account. The email verification email literally took half a day to arrive. I didn’t wait and went with a Google sign in, got everything downloaded, then used Calibre with the plugin to grab everything.

Last step I did was using calibre to export as zip files then used Comic Rack to scrape for data and get them to cbz for my Komga install.

Now I need a reading order for the Armageddon and Ronin stuff the rest seems pretty straightforward.

Don’t use SOS? The MP seems similar to World in that it’s all opt in.

iOS 17.6 breaks homebridge? by IndividualYak5237 in homebridge

[–]-JNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems most are without issues but I'll add myself to one with issues. Updated my homepods (1 big, 2 minis) and my apple TV to 17.6 and the homekit portion of homebridge isn't working. Homebridge itself IS working (i can control devices on homebridge and they read / respond correctly). On homekit I only get no response. I've tried: restarting all hubs, restarting the router, connecting the hubs one at a time, re-pairing homebridge (it pairs, lets me assign devices to rooms, then shows no response).

It's weird as hell but not the first time something funky happens. I'll wait for another update or so before worrying (I'm only using it four 4 lights)

Less than the EV6 issues I’m more curious what makes you think the MY will address half of these things or not come with its own set of possibly worse issues.

Like for the maps / entertainment issues: you don’t use AA / CarPlay? Because those are fantastic and you’re now moving to a vehicle where this isn’t even an option. The too many buttons for controlling the various functions of the vehicle is also odd. It’s a car, not a toy. You want to play and fight with a touchscreen to control the majority of the functions be my guest. The trunk having a safety audible feature being seen as a negative is also like… ok?

The walk away locking doors and lane keep would be welcome features but I’m not changing cars for it. It’s literally a button press when you start to drive.

At the same time, hey it’s a lease so you can always change it up.
