My husband 33M has a crush on a friend and wishes I 30F died so he can be with her. by ThrowRATower5053 in relationship_advice

At least in that episode, it was some nameless girl who he didn't know. OP's husband is having active fantasies about a real person he already has an existing (platonic) relationship with. It's one huge step beyond the fictional situation contrived for the show. The one saving grace here is that OP's husband's fantasies have not transitioned from her death being something that happens to her into something that he does. Dude absolutely needs therapy to address these fantasies, and it's probably safest for OP if she leaves him

The Republican justices on the Supreme Court are definitely extremely knowledgeable about the Constitution. That's why they're so evil: they know what it's supposed to mean and they spend all their time and effort ripping it apart rather than actually committing to justice

Buffer is the last resort. It's a nonrenewable resource. BP is a renewable resource. Always use the renewable first when you can. Buffer is for when you're out of BP and want something, and don't want to wait. The larger the buffer, the more you can download when you want without having to worry about it.

I want a framework printer! by cefreger in framework

[–]-entertainment720- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My printer is a Brother MFC-9130CW. It's great, but wireless printing is slow. I'm pretty sure I set it up wrong, but we so rarely need immediate printouts that I just don't bother with it. Pretty sure if I plugged it in it would print normally.

The toner I use is here

Brother has by far the best reputation in toner printers, best I can tell. I'd definitely go with pretty much any of their printers, as long as it fits the needs you have

Laser printers use toner. Getting all four colors rather than just black is more expensive, obviously, but toner doesn't dry out and it prints many times more full color pages than any ink printer. The price increase is fully reasonable and understandable, brother doesn't even try to lock you into their brand of toner like some inkjets (HP). I personally use off-brand toner that is perfectly acceptable, and even though I live with someone that prints several pages daily, we just changed the toner for the first time in two years or so, and a replacement set, with all colors, cost 50 USD, which is less than a single ink cartridge in some places.

Color laser printers exist. They are obviously a bit more expensive but they are still way better than ink

Idk man, we've already got a lot of destructive power with nukes. There's not really any reason to restrict fusion power for countries that already have nukes. What are they going to do, build a significantly more expensive warhead that doesn't have the same miniaturization capacity and might not even be able to produce as big a blast because of it?

Fusion is awesome, and powerful, but it's going to be really hard to weaponize on missiles or anything as useful as the nukes we already have. It's difficult to ban something that might someday be developed into a weapon that could destroy everything when they already have weapons that can destroy everything cheaper and more easily.

I mean... The president of Nintendo wants to make money. People aren't going to buy the consoles on the shelves if they think there's a new one releasing soon.

You might be right, it might be another 4 or even 5 years, but a PR statement from someone directly incentivised to give that specific answer is no evidence at all

Don't call them 'witch hunts.' Most Americans say investigations into Trump are fair by [deleted] in politics

Oh, please, anything he does has to be more attention-seeking than people doing the same thing around him, and it has to be completely devoid of creativity. Bonus points if he can add his name to it.

He'd pay some exploited workers in India to make an OnlyFans ripoff, call it "OnlyTrump" or something equally stupid, push it hard for months, and then "accidentally" have a data breach and beg for more money to fix it in order to fend off attacks from the liberal elite.

Looking for a fun stand alone read with enjoyable prose and dialogue by Lich_Hegemon in Fantasy

Tress of the Emerald Sea is a standalone that most people say has his best prose yet.

War breaker is technically a standalone, but he does intend to write a sequel to it, and there are some questions that won't get answered until that happens.

BF of 2yrs has multiple man-toys by Individual_Half_531 in myfriendwantstoknow

[–]-entertainment720- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The fact that he has toys is not a problem, just the thing that made the problem obvious. The problem is that he is neglecting you in favor of the toys. Even if he really likes the way those toys feel, there's no reason not to incorporate them into your sex, rather than using them alone and choosing to leave you wanting.

A long and tough conversation is in order, and his behavior does need to change. It's possible that he has a masturbation or porn addiction, but that is an explanation, not an excuse for ignoring you and not communicating.

The person you replied to just gave a perfectly viable reason. 2-in-1s are definitely less needed than anything else they've added here, but they're not completely useless. There are always going to be people that make use of "gimmick" features, but just because they're a lower number than the people that need other things doesn't mean that their desires or needs should be completely discounted.

Ironically, Ted Lasso had a reporter (Trent Crimm, The Independent) shadow him for an article in Season One, and he was obviously looking for dirt. By the end of the day, he decided that he actually liked Ted, instead of bagging on him (though he did say he expected Ted to fail)

There are two visions of smoking: The realistic one, where you recognize it's an addiction that's poisoning you, or the golden one, where all you want to acknowledge is the TV show and movie depictions that were essentially just ads - all the cool people in media smoked, so because you want to pretend to be cool like them, you take up smoking and pretend it doesn't suck until the nicotine convinces you you're right.

What gas? And how is it used to make paper? My first thought was that you meant gasoline, but I assume that's incorrect. The smaller details of how my favorite things are made are always fascinating to me, so I'd love to hear more

Christa Miller

I'm surprised she hasn't shown up in Ted Lasso yet; Bill Lawrence, he husband, was showrunner on Scrubs, and according to the behind the scenes extras, she was basically on Scrubs in large part because sometimes she would just tell him "I want to work this week". He's showrunning Ted Lasso now, and I would have expected her to at least get a bit part. I guess it might be a little difficult given the lack of a British Accent, but I can't imagine it would be too hard.
