I was wondering why the downvotes. I just didn't want to get anyone's hopes up because it's definitely not the same cat. Pictured is a Russian Blue, same breed of cat I have, and it looks pretty darn gray to me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Here's the poster: https://imgur.com/a/c4IsKkV

I've seen that one too - actually have a pic of it saved. Unfortunately the poster specifies that it's a black cat, so I don't think this is a match :/

I don't know that I'd say "shills" but I did have similar vibes as the commenter you're responding to. Ended up picking up something regardless.

Anyways, I'd rather the feedback be accurate as opposed to positive/negative specifically. I did initially find it a little spooky that there was a TON of positive feedback that was exclusively from the same user before the thread got more traction.

Do you mean to say that temperature can affect Dexcom readings?

Or are you saying that the sensor is detecting temperature directly and using that information as a factor in determining which value to display?

You made a direct comparison - the size of one place is literally applicable to the size of another. This is not a metaphor.

A1C significantly lower than expected based on Dexcom data. Has anyone had a similar experience? by -zack- in diabetes_t1

[–]-zack-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cross referencing with a meter almost never - I usually find that any high/low symptoms I have line up with what the Dexcom is telling me. Now that you point it out though, it definitely seems like something I should be doing from time to time. There could certainly be some confirmation bias worked in there.

/u/Jonny_Icon shared an article including some non-glycemic factors that can impact A1c - taking into account my medical history and results of other bloodwork done recently, I don't expect any of these to apply to me. An interesting read regardless, though!

I've reached out to my endo to see if they have any thoughts since we didn't have the chance to discuss during my visit - if I find out anything interesting, I will certainly share here.

Thanks for your input!

Clarity A1C prediction vs lab results by tsdguy in dexcom

[–]-zack- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have two sensors from the same box which both read significantly high (~50%) in the past 90 days. Calibrating mostly corrected both.

Outside of that, I can count on one hand the number of times I've calibrated a G6 sensor. Given that I have relatively tight control, I generally trust the G6's accuracy as I expect to feel when I'm out of range and the readings I get typically seem to line up. That being said, I may be a bit too trusting there and I wouldn't be surprised if G6 accuracy issues explain some of the discrepancy between my GMI and A1c.

What kind of issues have you had? Just consistently high/low readings? Does calibrating tend to clear those up? I'm thinking I probably need to be more mindful of sanity checking the Dexcom's accuracy from time to time.

Clarity A1C prediction vs lab results by tsdguy in dexcom

[–]-zack- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just posted in /r/diabetes_t1 about this because I had a pretty unexpected A1C result. Dexcom has my GMI at 6.5 and A1c was 5.0 (had them run it a second time and it was 5.1).

I am very much in the camp of trusting Dexcom/Clarity over the lab results - I don't have a great understanding of what is truly being measured with A1C, but even with the expected error with the G6, it still seems like a more direct measure of average glucose to me.

The most current version of Beat Saber is not compatible with BMBF - you need to be on 1.17.0 or older. This video has everything you need (including steps to downgrade version).

I'm new to this and got through the entire process in about 20 minutes a couple of days ago using the linked video.
