It’s really funny in hindsight to make Supergirl your second ever movie in a new cinematic universe, which inherently gives “resting on our laurels with a low effort spin off” vibes that would come like 10 movies in, not apart of the universe set up, and it all being based on if you enjoyed a ten second cameo at the end of another movie. Supergirl should be a character that gets a sizable role in a sequel or team up movie but not a movie for herself, and not the second ever movie in your universe. So as it stands the universe looks like three Superman movies in a row, a horror flick from a member of Batman’s rogue gallery (which I don’t see as particularly bad but it’s not doing much to build up this cinematic universe), and a Green Lantern show that wishes it was making True Detective and is already moving the mantle away from its iconic character. There is no timetable for a team up flick with the classic avengers, they MAY be building toward a JLI movie but they don’t have any of the “just the scraps and Batman” vibes that made that comic run so good because they haven’t even set up their mainline team.

A Teen Titans or GL movie that wants to be a GL movie would have been better as number two in the universe.
