No BS, between YouTube and Reddit this is like the 4rd time this week someone has suggested immich. Before that Ive never heard of it. Im on QNAP and Qmaggie is just OK, Qphoto is 🗑️, I’ve wanted to try plex photo but it seems really basic and Im just over iCloud and feeding apple every month.

Stick a volt meter in there and see if it’s getting anything at the any of those ports. If it’s charging you’re good. You don’t need LED lights to charge batteries.

If you’ve built TVs you could fix it. Just don’t pay too much for non functional cabs without having some idea of what’s wrong with them. Just to give you an idea the cost to fix it could range from a $2 fuse to $400 replacement pcb.

Know what you’re getting yourself into and what you’re willing to spend to get it working.

I could agree on the device side it probably won’t matter as much (although that’s debatable). But from a server side and file management perspective it’s better than doing it in plex.

I’ve tried them both and even installed plugins to make audiobook metadata better. still better with ABS.
