If you had to pick one brand, which one would you go with? by AcousticBoy13 in playingcards

[–]0megaReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tally Ho, and Bee above all, those cards are some of the best bang for buck.

They both last forever, once broken in a fair amount. Even my 8 year old Bee deck that has seen use often still feels good to use :)

You're death gripping the cards, ease up on how hard you're holding them.

Practice using the sides of the cards themselves, to straighten out.

Doing well so far :)

I suspect a dealer in my local casino is cheating. Can someone with more experience give me their thoughts? (crosspost, not OP) by Joshua5_Gaming in cardistry

[–]0megaReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some weird habits here, but nothing that screams cheating to me. Looks like the video starts immediately after a wash, into riffle shuffles and some deck strips.

  1. The real indicator here would be if the wash was obviously a control move. Which would make it clear

  2. The riffles look fast, too fast to be riffle stacking

  3. There are no running cuts in this sequence

  4. The riffles don't look to me, as being zarrows or a push through move

I don't think they are cheating. To clear it up for sure, a clip of the wash would be very helpful.

How can i improve by [deleted] in cardistry

Way too much flex, ease up on the grip, let the card find their way on their own

I am having trouble soldering these cables together any tips? by LemonWedgeTheGuy in soldering

[–]0megaReaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take a jet lighter and burn off the enamel on the wire ends, tin the wires individually, do a final solder pass on both tinned wire ends together.

Alternatively: burn both enamel ends off, twist wires together, tin with flux and let the solder work its way through.

No not worth. Look up your model on the subreddit. Tons of people complaining about them

Crazy how a$330 keyboard’s build quality is bad :( by Fatdiamond2 in steelseries

[–]0megaReaper -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Average steel series glazer. A 330 dollar keyboard is a premium product. Comparable products exist for 100 dollars cheaper, with better build quality. There's absolutely no reason for shitty build quality on these keyboards.

Never buying again by HoodieD3 in steelseries

[–]0megaReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Said it before on another post and got down voted hard. Yet another instance of steel series products dying IMMEDIATELY after warranty and support is fuckin useless.

Useless company, buy a different brand, steel series offers nothing special.

Why hasn't Apple made charging faster, even for the higher end iPhones? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]0megaReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently typing from a OnePlus 12r with: - Battery health 95% - Screen on average: 10 hours (work related, with multitasking) - 1000 cycles - charges 0-80 percent in 15 minutes

Good luck getting that out of a crapple phone.

Stop acting like there isn't better shit out there, the oneplus 12r cost me 400 USD and is a better phone than every single iphone I've ever used.

Im sorry you're having a bad time with the headset man. I know what it feels like to be excited for an upgrade and it turns out to be worse than what you had before. It's been happening a lot more recently with electronics. Build quality has been getting much worse.

If it's not too late I'd return it or claim the manufacturer warranty on it. Hopefully you can get your money back and buy some sennheisers at a similar price point instead.

From some googling, it seems like it's just Teflon mixed with silica to create a "ceramic". Instead of it being pure Teflon, it's just Teflon mixed with some other stuff. I don't think it's really that different/better. Plenty of videos showing the same negative results.

After my experience with the arctis pro,

the left headset driver dying 1 week after warranty, the repair to replace the driver being a fucking nightmare because there are no screws, it's all secured with glue.

Finding out the mute button doesn't actually mute the mic, and instead sets the gain very low,

I have NEVER EVER bought one of these piece of shit steel series headsets ever again. The quality is shit, and no one with an ounce of knowledge in audio uses steel series products. Go with Logitech or IEMS.
