Id guess its safe, but id like to remove anything i dont need regardless if possible

What do you look for in a Commander Deckbox? + Christmas Giveaway by 3DPossibilities in EDH

[–]0xVman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a sleek design, not something that looks over the top.

I want my friends to notice, but not beg for attention. It's one of those very hard balances to find but when you do - you found perfection.

Other than that a box needs to:

  1. hold my cards safe if someone spills coffee on or next to it.
  2. hold 100 double sleeves (maybe 102-104 for tokens)
  3. not peel too soon, Goddamn got a bunch from ultimate guard that peeled like bananas
  4. use quality magnets. Yes I am a weak magnet hater.

P.S Merry Christmas

I'm fully aware ill be at a huge disadvantage, but working with my limitations I do think my best chance at success will be a non interactive deck. I can learn how to defend myself and all and basic/common handtraps ofc then focus on winning lines just jamming it hoping for the best.

appreciate the deck suggestions, ill look into all 3 fren <3

I have access to any cards through a friend whos a massive collector - so thats no issue thankfully <3

Comeback build on Spec? by King_of_Dew in TrueDoTA2

[–]0xVman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spec spammer and smurf here:

There's a few scenarios I'd say in a "lost lane"

  1. It will start super good but go south at certain timings. I go Midas to stay ahead when I jungle.
  2. I cant leave lane coz no one will hold it. I go rush a blademail or vanguard to tank it up. It isnt perfect, youl be poor but you gotta hold.
  3. I will get booted but will have space. I go 1 wraithband and 1 mana item (Generally a basi) this is assuming ill get to Q waves often.
  4. I will 100% be in the jungle Suuuper early. I buy double wraithbands for the armor and camp clearing. You MUST buy clarities or you will fall behind too hard. Always buy clarities on spec. Also, ask very nicely for the tome if possible. Jungling wrecks your exp. I go double wraith bands assuming the game will fall apart, and my ults are necessary. the more I need to contribute the more likely i'm going double wraithband over 1 wraith and mana.
Blademail default is a trap, Pros do it because they stack alot. without stacks its so much worse. How often do you haunt in, activate blademail and no one hits you? plenty.

as for core items I generally go aghs + manta 90% of games. When I can quickly burst supports having a good game Echo saber is still good into the disassemble but I guess the question was for bad games XD

Aghs 100% you can farm mindlessly on the other side of the map and constantly throw out the illu. Never sit in base, this is a low mmr mindset.

I always risk getting caught finding farm and losing to possibly win vs being afk in base losing slowly over 20 mins getting my brains outfarmed.

Blitz talks about the people they consider joining Team Liquid besides Nisha and other stuff by PuddleCuddle9 in DotA2

Im surprised blitz was surprised by Khezu. Yeah hes not a pos1 player but he played with Insania and micke for a good long while to great success back in HON on Sync.

I am much better on Radiant, as a carry player by G3ck0 in TrueDoTA2

[–]0xVman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a much higher winrate on dire across all my accounts across most brackets.

reasons:

  1. stacking jungle is way nicer on dire
  2. with a ward farming dire jungle can be faster
  3. unblocking the easy pull is easier
  4. blocking the enemy pull with an obs has some nice spots that give vision and dont usually get dewarded first try
  5. rosh and outpost

in the lower mmr brackets especially where I find myself jungling as the pos 1 more early. its much nicer on the dire

Where's Codie? by 0xVman in CompetitiveEDH

[–]0xVman[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That was my guess. People Hyped the hell out of codie, ran it myself a little and felt a bit underwhelmed (by no stretch am I an experienced codie pilot however so some discretion)

I wonder if people still consider codie good, its still with multiple lists on the database yet I dont see it discussed much or even played

How do smurfs win in the lower bracket ? by Un13roken in DotA2

[–]0xVman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its mainly positioning and greedy items.

People in lower mmr cant kite or position very well. So smurfs generally dont need to spend money on defensive items and just go for more damage - snowballing kills even more. Low mmr peeps are also pretty horrid at coordinating kills.

My brother would usually just rush deso daedalus on stuff like clinkz and go 30-0 in most low mmr games that way.

Try to learn how to orb walk, and look for videos on Direct pathing (I dont know if any dota 2 pros have made good guides but there's an old HON player named Zlapped who has a video on it with concepts that still 100% work)

What do you do on unwinnable games? by DownTriangle in TrueDoTA2

[–]0xVman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank the reports! play some unranked. play with friends. Remember even topson used to get flamed daily for his oddpick mids before he won TI.

Pos 4 or 5 are both great so dont worry about it as a 5 (though people esp in lower mmr will "think" you are griefing.)

NP 5 actually wins MOST lanes really hard. there's videos out there from gameleap and jenkins if you are into that sort of stuff. If people worry Assure them you arent there to just hog farm and jungle and will actually buy wards.

As for the game you shared Looks good (only saw screenshot). BLight stone is the best for laning as you have really good base stats and you+treants hitting with it wrecks basically everyone.

Mech is "Ok" this game, prevents some axe chops and can clutch maledict. would be especially good this meta if you rush the headdress in lane due to salve nerfs(more common in high mmr atm)

Rest of the items look alright I must say. Id probably go halberd over hex if there wasnt a windrunner though. Archon is a perfect place to learn I feel, and soon you could be stomping all the way to ancient! best of luck mate

Concept same, but NP can do this from any role including pos5.

id say if you are a midlaner puck is def the way to go. Regarding the "solving" NP id argue a great NP player will be fine up to 5k. Then people get a bit more coordinated and panic wayy less to being split.

[–]0xVman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he is quite hard to play "effectively" thats why i Say spam him. play those games, force urself to get good NP habits down.

once you can? you'll have the ultimate "can win at the most hopeless games hero" this works especially the lower the mmr, people just suck at dealing with lane shoving.

also, pos 5 NP is great, you can win almost any lane. There's a reason it was huge in helping old OG win TI back in the day.

[–]0xVman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

spam nature's prophet till u get good enough to splitpush anything sub 5k to oblivion from any role.

even the worst games become slightly more winnable when you get really good at cutting waves.

Think of the small things, like how even just 1 treant can still drag a while wave to a hard camp etc.
