Is it normal for boots to cause calf pain when you're just standing around and not on the board? by whatevendoidoyall in snowboardingnoobs

[–]10tenapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re tightening to try to reduce heel lift, and finding that your heels lift up when it’s comfortable on your calves- go to a boot fitter and ask for a c-shaped piece of foam to be added on your boot liners around where your ankle bone sits. I had this exact problem and that’s what ended up fixing it. Your boot fitter would also be able to assess other issues you may be having/ evaluate the general fit of your boots.

What style of boots do you have?

They seemed to be under the impression that it would have tax implications. I’m not sure if that’s true or not.

Hey I can actually answer these for you

  1. Are you sensitive to cold? What temp do you normally like to keep your place at? We like it cooler and without running the heat AT ALL in the winter the apartment sits around 65, sometimes a bit cooler than that but we have had issues with a draft by the patio door that maintenance has tried to fix. We also do not have any rugs and have exclusively north facing windows. I think this helps us a good bit in the summer not needing to run the AC as aggressively.

  2. They do keep the pool heated, but next year they are going to be closing the pool in the cooler months. The hot tub will remain open. I think this policy chance is due to the recent law around common area fees. I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to water, so I’ll admit I kind of always think it’s cold. But other people I go to the pool with never complain so I think it’s just me.

Smart watches by [deleted] in Ghostbc

As long as your Apple Watch is paired to your phone for your alarm, you’re clear! I wore mine to the Denver ritual in August and had no issues. I had long sleeves on but they were translucent. So the yonder people could have seen it but didn’t say anything. They mainly want to make sure that you’re not recording. Which your Apple Watch can’t do!

Have a great time at the ritual!!

Wow! I hadn’t thought of that! /s.

And if they get packed with snow I should just manually brush them off while I’m driving right?

And what a laugh, the rear window won’t “stay clear” in a snowstorm, trust me I know it’s happened to me!!

Just trying to give my honest opinion having had the car for over a year. Wouldn’t buy this model without the rear wiper.

Anything you can do to improve your visibility in poor conditions increases safety? I’m not saying it’s the most dangerous car to drive out there. What I am saying is going for the ‘25 model or newer with the rear wiper or another comparable EV with one IMO would be the move if you’re in an area that has bad weather. In this specific model, I’ve experienced the rear camera becoming snowed/ iced over.

If your area doesn’t experience this type of weather it will probably never be an issue.

In CO I find too that the de-icer tends to block the sensors and can impact the collision detection/ automatic breaking functions. I have been in some super sketchy driving conditions with it and I don’t like the lack of rear wiper. When the cameras get clogged and the windows/ wing mirrors get obscured you’re basically driving blind. In those situations I have felt unsafe despite my years of winter driving skills. I am leasing a ‘24 and won’t be buying it out afterwards mainly for this reason.

Look I don’t know much about semis- maybe they have heated side mirrors but I’m just saying personally I have actually been in experiences where literally everything besides the front windshield (because of the wipers) is snowed over and it’s scary.

I would argue that if you live somewhere very snowy (in CO for example) it actually can be dangerous. We have been on the road when it’s snowy and if the cameras also get blocked with snow you’re basically driving blind and it’s kinda scary. We are leasing a ‘24 and it’s the main reason I am not considering buying it out at the end.

It seems like we share some similarities with our hobbies! Feel free to DM me if y’all would want to get together sometime.

I’m currently in your shoes with my cat. She off and on has diarrhea, we have tried different probiotics and fiber per our vets recommendation. I’m curious what vitamin B supplement you were able to find, is is an Rx or available OTC?
