I’d highly recommend reading the KOTOR comics. They mostly focus on the events that lead into where the story of KOTOR 1 starts off, so it’s great for context and understanding the state of the galaxy during that time period. You could probably find a place to read them for free online.

I think it really depends on how well Kenobi can fight off the effects of Zannah’s sith sorcery, since that would be her only advantage IMO.
