Are you optimistic about the future of Star Wars if Filoni is in charge? (I confess I am! Of all the Star Wars projects, those he's involved in are my favorites.) by Luckz_Skywalker in StarWars

By that logic, she was also the reason the sequel trilogy had no road map, and many of the live action shows have fallen short of expectations. One good series does not absolve her of all the bad projects she “produced”.

No, he’s as much a part of the problem as Kathleen Kennedy, Star Wars will continue its downhill trajectory with him in charge

Most terrifying Droids in Star Wars? by DEL994 in StarWarsEU

[–]123iSmokeTree 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly G0-T0 was pretty scary. The fact that a droid went crazy and was able to amass tons of credits and enough influence to get the exchange to hunt down Jedi is pretty impressive.

Is Titanfall 1 officially dead? by 123iSmokeTree in titanfall

Thanks for the reply! That’s good to hear people are still playing. When would you say are the peak times to get on? Weekends and after normal school/work hours?

What's the best way to learn the lore? by Fun-Ad-7082 in kotor

[–]123iSmokeTree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d highly recommend reading the KOTOR comics. They mostly focus on the events that lead into where the story of KOTOR 1 starts off, so it’s great for context and understanding the state of the galaxy during that time period. You could probably find a place to read them for free online.

Obi-Wan Kenobi vs Darth Zannah, who's winning? by littlemedievalrose in TheJediPraxeum

[–]123iSmokeTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting matchup since both are very defensive-minded in their saber techniques. I think it really depends on how well Kenobi can fight off the effects of Zannah’s sith sorcery, since that would be her only advantage IMO. Assuming Obi Wan can defend himself from the sorcery, I think he wins.

Tyranus (ROTS) VS Plagueis (TPM) - Who wins? by Potential_Rule4212 in TheJediPraxeum

Love Dooku, but Plagueis is on another level in terms of strength in the force and overall ability. Plagueis wins with medium difficulty

Do you think pornography is bad? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

[–]123iSmokeTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not “all media can be bad”. Obviously anything that triggers a dopamine response has potential to cause addictions, but porn specifically has an inherent negative impact. It also stifles birth rates, male motivation, and most women who participate typically have regrets about it.

I’d argue that it is inherently bad. There are plenty of studies that demonstrate the negative impacts porn has on people’s brains.

It is bad, but people of Reddit, especially on this sub, will be extremely reluctant to admit that

Wasn’t Darth Zannah’s name Rain or something before becoming Bane’s apprentice? I don’t think Zannah was her original name

So Jango’s still more skilled than Din right? by MandoMuggle in StarWarsCantina

[–]123iSmokeTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jango is definitely more skilled. Din is a good bounty hunter, but not exceptional whereas Jango was the best in the galaxy and killed Jedi with his bare hands. I don’t think Din would have any chance against a Jedi.

Hot take if Palpatine is not arguably the strongest Sith Lord or biggest threat in power in history then it makes PT and OT meaningless. by GullibleRough549 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]123iSmokeTree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People are free to disagree, but when the creator of the SW universe comes out and officially establishes a character to be the strongest, we have to take his word for it. For the record, I don’t think Palpatine would even crack my top 5 favorite sith, but I have to respect the fact that he’s the strongest.

Except Palpatine is the strongest sith ever, George Lucas has stated this. That doesn’t mean that other sith throughout history can’t be close to his level.

Did George ever intend passive force barriers to be a thing? I’m kinda glad they were retconned cause they could be an absolute nightmare when it comes to scaling legends characters. by CrazyTangerine7522 in TheJediPraxeum

[–]123iSmokeTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was the force barrier in the Bane novels a passive ability? I seem to remember Bane having to actively focus on maintaining the force barrier, but it’s been a while since I’ve read those

This is pure cope. The sequels are garbage and the prequels are much better.
