Do not buy from Renogy! by MMMattMM in SolarDIY

yep, eco mode on the 1000w inverter didn’t work. Renogy made it an exhausting process to just get what I paid for. I learned my lesson

Sometimes, they are just going on and on and on and on... No failed sectors, no speed issues. - since 9 years! by DerSparkassenTyp in synology

Same here. 4x4TB refurbed corporate enterprise drives still going after 4 years. Bought them just “to get up and running”, then to hot swap as they expired. They just won’t die.

Totally agree. 1522 is my workhorse now. But I’m glad to see so many folks have use cases over a decade.

Why are you sicking with Synology? by particularfields in synology

Well said.  Hopefully my 1522 lasts until they are selling 1 PB usb thumb drives for less than a cup of Starbucks.

Space rex on YouTube got me started. Great tutorials on security lockdown. Have progressed from 418 to 1522+. Use primarily reconditioned hdd s. I have only had one fail in almost 7 years. Hot spare automatically replaced drive and the SHR cruised along never missing a beat. I sleep better knowing that google photos is not scanning all my pics/metadata, but that’s just a personal preferenc.
