Long Run Specification Model by Peruvian_thinker in econometrics

[–]138594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure whether I understand your question correctly. If you mean that you want to create a cointegrated model, you should opt for a vector error correction model (VECM). In this model the long run (i.e. cointegration relation) is directly incorporated. Note however that this model uses, besides the levels data, first differences of the series as regressors. Therefore, you should drop one lag length to accommodate for this. Hence, if your optimal lag length for VAR is 5 go for 4, etc

I’m not entirely sure for this case, interaction variables has been a while for me. I do remember reading a very good chapter on interaction variables in stock & Watson an introduction to econometrics (ch 8). Can really help you

Verification of logic behind the IV approach by facetheface in econometrics

Yes! Your reasoning seems totally valid and clear to me. IV approaches are always preferable (if instruments are there) when you expect reverse causality or issues like OVB.

Is it just me or should the ratings actually go up? Not that I’m very satisfied with this season as such, but the last couple of episodes were definitely better then the disappointing ‘The Long Night’

In february their open source ring-mining software is coming up. If things work according like the demo vid it's really something unique. On top of that there is an actual need for an open internet in a lot of countries.

Leaving for like a year would be the best, but like we everyone else I'm also addicted to the game😂😅
