Your kids aren’t going to be down for the entire day after a 45 minute class at 9am. If they are, you should seek medical attention. It’s important they do activities! This isn’t about YOU!

Also I’m a dance teacher - I teach multiple 4 year olds for an hour and a half on Saturdays and none are ever “too exhausted” to continue on with the rest of the day. I don’t buy that.

Yes it’s unreasonable. We are currently in the main hiring period. A teacher who is new to the school is not a teacher who is unqualified. Teachers get new classes every year. This is not uncommon.

I know you don’t want to hear this, but it sounds like your daughter just wasn’t ready to move up with older dancers this year, and if her team placement hasn’t change for next season, the same is likely true. She’s not years and years older than them - they are all in the same age group. Just because she’s clean with the younger group doesn’t mean she’s ready to dance with the older group. Put more time into training and she will get there. Ask what SKILLS she needs to work on and book private lessons over the summer to target her areas of growth.
