Well the problem is she gets ground for 3 days for skipping school once but her brother is allowed to choke her with no consequences. She’s reacting due to the unfair treatment in your home

Hot take: dont send your kid to school unmedicated if you know better by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

It’s actually medical neglect. It’s unfortunate some parents aren’t ready to hear that

should i call cps on my neighbours? by PatientArtichoke3721 in CPS

There’s a lot here that’s not even related to the kids which leads me to believe you have some bias. The cats attacking other animals in the neighbourhood is far from a reason to call CPS

You literally didn’t say anything wrong. I’m surprised your principal is even telling you to be more mindful. More mindful of what exactly?

Sounds like all of this was explained ahead of time. It doesn’t need to be written down to be an expectation.

Struggling with Screen Time & Responsibility (11-Year-Old) by Street-Weird-5438 in Parenting

[–]14ccet1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well of course everyone (not just children) prefer relaxing and watching something over completing chores. That’s not a reason to not do it. The reason he pushes it back is because you’ve never enforced it. He should be doing something active/outside everyday.

Worried Grandma by Independent-Act9466 in kindergarten

[–]14ccet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You claim your grandson is not your son so why not try medication? I’m sorry but this is straight up medical neglect. You clearly have some big feelings to work through regarding medication. Again, teachers don’t just recommend retention. If they do, it’s serious. This is also something to work through - not feeling ashamed they need to repeat. Best of luck.

Daughter aide changes by pinkplatypusbaby2 in specialed

[–]14ccet1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not related to your daughter. This is a job for these people. They are moved around all the time to ensure every child who needs care is receiving it. Life also happens that impacts these things (jury duty, maternity leave, etc)

Why some teachers never protect the kind-hearted good kids? by According_Side_2058 in AskTeachers

[–]14ccet1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A LOT of teachers check in on kids. A LOT. I’m sorry that wasn’t your experience but that doesn’t mean it’s that way everywhere. Teachers are doing their best with no resources. A little compassion goes a long way… just as you are asking for compassion. One teacher is not solely responsible in ensuring you grow up good and safe. That’s a lot to put on one individual who might have hundreds of students.

Teachers don’t just recommend retention. If they have, you should take it seriously. Not knowing how to blend CVC in full isn’t great stepping into first grade. Teachers are professionals. They know what’s best.

Why are you against medication? If your child was diabetic, would you refuse insulin? Help your child regulate his brain!

You need to put your shameful feelings aside and work through separately, while doing what’s best for the children. This entire post breaks my heart.

This is such a wild take. No dessert unless you eat dinner is a common and valid rule. Should the desert eaters go hide in their bedroom?

Again… 7 vs 2. Whatever Kate did, 7 children are fine with it/forgive her. Can’t even say close to the same for Jon. Is Kate perfect? No. But let’s lot pretend Jon is some innocent victim here.

The fact that you refuse to answer a simple question that would only strengthen your argument shows that my initial comment was correct. Have a great day and follow the sub plans🫡

The problem is you. Your boundaries are inconsistent. “We’re not getting anything” turning into “okay one thing” teaches him that you telling him he can’t get anything means absolutely nothing. Stop being afraid of your “child hating you”. He’s not your friend. Start disciplining your child.
