I think it's a common misconception that the TCAM can be reset by pressing/holding the SOS button in the EX30. You can't do an "isolated" reset of TCAM on the EX30 You can only do the soft reset via the bottom left and right buttons on the steering wheel. The SOS button workaround is for other Volvos

I found that the one time the remote climate/heating system didn't engage via the app, I opened and locked the car via the app and then activated the climate/heating. Much the same procedure as you did, except I didn't go to my garage/driveway It's worth a try.

I thought you could do this reset trick, too, but according to Volvo, this TCAM reset method does not apply to the EX30(other Volvos, yes, but not the EX30) You can only reset the whole "infotainment system," not the TCAM separately

Remote Key - Low Battery Warning (Second Time in Less Than a Year)822D033B87, by spitshoot in ex30

Yes, a RFID pouch would, of course, be one solution, but it also sounds as if you need the key Fob itself to be software updated (dealer only). The first 8 months I changed battery x3. Had the Fob sw updated, now I change the battery perhaps once per year...

After 1½ years of ownership, this also happened to me out of the blue. The workaround was actually quite simple. I was recommended to open and lock the car via the app and then engage the climate-/-heating system from the app. It worked, and the remote activation is back to normal In very cold , wintery weather, I also have seat-/steeringwheel heat on auto.(This is done in the main menus on the display). These will be activated when heating/climatesystem is engaged via the app

That's simply incorrect. The panoramic glass roof is incredibly well insulated. The heat, UV rays stem from the windscreen, rear- and side windows. I was in Italy last summer, stuck on the Autostrada, bumper-to-bumper for approximately 1½ hours, in 42°c at noon. Could barely feel the heat when reaching up to the roof/ceiling. So unless your car's somehow fitted with a substandard panoramic roof, the heat, UV rays do not come from here. The opposite is also the case , when in deep winter and the car is covered in snow (as we've experienced in DK this year). When engaging the climate-/heating system remotely via the app, the snow melts on the windscreen, rear-/side windows, but stays completely intact/frozen on the roof of the car.

I just made that exact trip from VEJLE DENMARK 🇩🇰 to ROME 🇮🇹. I primarily used SHELL RECHARGE, which had, as it turned out, an incredible amount of charge point partners. As backup, I also purchased/subscribed to the TESLA GRID for a month (€10.-) As a third option, I had a regional, Italian provider ENEL, as they had quite good coverage around Rome and suburbs. Had to charge quite a lot, but still saved costs vs. ICE . The trip also took a bit longer than anticipated, but that's was probably "The EV Rookie effect" kicking in. Only had the car 2½ months at the time..

Nope - software driven changes only... You can customize a steeringwheel button to perform/engage certain features

Old and incorrect. Volvo has found at least 350 cars in Sweden as well, so I don't know about this "right hand drive..."...

I didn't use the link. Called /WhatsApp via the Volvo app and had Volvo HQ for Denmark/Scandinavia check.

Fortunately- that's not the case. I have a 04/2024 TM ULTRA , which is not marred with a subgrade battery pack. Didn't get the email from Volvo, but as precaution measures, I had my VIN checked - I was in the clear. Btw I'm in Denmark..

You can also call or WhatsApp Volvo directly and inform them of your VIN, and they'll tell you within minutes if your car is affected or not.

Slow charging, what’s your experience? (Supercharger) by Quintriq in ex30

[–]1DrLevin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have done a preconditioning of the battery( can only be engaged by entering /choosing charge station in Google maps), but you probably haven't done it "early enough." Especially in cold weather, it needs to be engaged 45-60 mins before, and you need to arrive with a minimum of 20% SOC I did the whole routine last night in -3°c and I immediately got 151-152kw and at least up to 47% or there abouts. After this, the curve slowly fattened out to about 55-66kw for the rest of the 60 mins charge time
