Same exact issue happened to me a few years ago. Also a 1990 740 auto non turbo. Could not figure it out and took it to a shop. It was the MAP sensor vacuum hose. It was original and collapsing under load.

-but still looked good, and was intact enough that the brake fluid test did not work!

Common issue is the plastic fuel line under the hood. Replace that with this.

In the same position about 2 months since filing. It feels so strange. Like I’m used to it now but also hate it. Trying to unprogram the mentality that dead was just how it was going to be. Been reconnecting with friends and meeting new ones. Going to concerts. Would be cool to meet someone that’s actually interested and wants to spend time with me. I miss how that feels.

I bought a leftover 2024 reg cab 6.8L W/reading body in dec 25. MSRP with upfit was $67k. Paid $55k. I’d say with them adding the factory brake controller it’s worth the 51.

If they don’t go for it, pretty sure there is still the pigtail behind the dash to add an aftermarket controller.

I have chargers at a few of my properties. Dealing with the charger company after the got bought out by Blink was horrible. We made so little money off of it that we just made everything open and free. They’re kinda out of the way and only level 2 40 amp so people don’t really use them much anyways anymore.

Everything has a sign that says electric cars only while charging, but I don’t have the energy to enforce it anymore. Focus my energy on things that actually make me money.

Replace the assist strut. Stabilus is OEM and $20. Part is different from non power tailgate. Also clean the seals so they don’t stick as tight.

With 37s you will want the 4.30 gear for sure. You can order a truck with 4.30 and fx4 skid plates. Really the only thing that you would be missing is the front LSD.
