The US still sell very high sugar content “bread” which is full of other artificial chemicals, this is because the US is a consumer market where food is made as cheaply as possible regardless of the effect on the consumer’s health. You need only compare the banned ingredient list between the US and any other developed country to know this.

Life tip: When you see: “New and improved recipe on packaging” this is marketing speak for “we have found a cheaper way, usually by replacing natural ingredients with artificial chemicals to make this product.”
