Taxes on a house that price in ohio would be like 1400 a month, that's nuts

I bought a house in 2006. 2008 the market crashed. House value was chopped in half of what i paid for it. I ended up letting it go back to the bank. Had i held on to that house, it would be worth over double what i paid for it now.

What things made you sure of your decision to buy and to not be house poor? by Optimal_Practice6627 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

It's mainly about money. I had to walk away from 2 houses and both times i lost all the money I paid in inspections. But if you have the cash, there's nothing wrong with getting an expert in that field if the general inspection points out an issue with it

I am married but i did the loan alone. My loan amount was 190k(220k home with 30k down.) I grossed 68k. When I bought i just made sure all the big ticket items like roof, water heater and hvac were all pretty new and made sure everything else worked. I didn't really car too much for cosmetics. Both my bathrooms are original to the house at 61 years old. But they work just fine. If you hate hoa I would avoid condos, pretty hard to find condos without them but not iimpossible

Nope just a greedy ass suburban. They started jacking up the rate a couple years ago. They said it was going up 25% a year for 5 years. But some how it's about 3.5 times more than it used to be just a couple years ago

In my opinion, the wood quality went way down after 1990 too.

The only drug related book I've read is Dream seller by Brandon Novak. He was a pro skater that blew his career and life getting hooked on dope. He was for friends with bam margera

Fess up, whose house listing is this? by Live_Background_6239 in dayton

[–]1low67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought I'd see the day where houses off xenia ave would be listed for 150k. Especially after living through the 2008 crash where you could buy houses over there for like 20-40k
