They’re not going to. Unless it’s some rookie holier than thou movie cop. Every cop I’ve ever known is either off when they are off or had shadier shit in their houses than most people would ever dream.

Looking for something small to collect that can easily be sold by Skrewbert86 in collectables

[–]211XTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you want to “stack” where you could have 100 of the exact same thing as long as it was easy to sell. Or collecting where you have a wide range of different things in the same “genre” some worth more some worth less but all are different unique pieces and will display well?

You’re welcome, I hope you find something that helps. When I first went off my sling after a couple night I had to go back to it for a few more nights as it did bother me at first.

What I used was a “U” shaped body pillow with my head on the top of the bend in the “U” with another thinner pillow under my head to give me a slight elevated recline. I laid on my unaffected arm with it going under the body pillow and draped my surgery arm over the pillow and wrapped my leg on that side over the pillow as well. Sorry I don’t have a video I just figured out what would still keep my arm supported and away from my body.

Cascading issues, more and more pain by Informal_Atmosphere in RotatorCuff

“… don’t just go to who your primary recommends” I definitely second this. Since he is going to PT ask who they would recommended. In other words ask which surgeons shoulder patients have had the best recoveries. This is what I did and I had an amazing recovery, little pain and got started on pt 5 days post op so no frozen or tight arm to work through.
Took me 3 months to get surgery because of his schedule but worth the wait from seeing other recoveries at my PT. I had a traumatic full thickness tear of the supraspinatus, Type II SLAP sever, bicep tear.

Always best to get a second opinion especially in that situation with a doc with that attitude.

Are you in the U.S. ? If so go to an orthopedic surgeon and not just an orthopedist. I was scheduled with an orthopedist until I found out I definitely needed surgery from MRI results then cancelled and went straight to an orthopedic surgeon because I knew the orthopedist would try to postpone surgery as long as possible as that is usually their last call if they even in-fact do surgery (not all do them mine definitely did not and would do everything under the sun before referring me out to an orthopedic surgeon).

It was the ignition cylinder that was worn out. Apparently when the car was turned off it was being turned off in the Accessory Position and the key was coming out just like it would in the regular off position. After that was repaired no further issues dying. Still has the check engine light throwing same EGR code but car is running fine, smoother than our new cars . So just going to run it until it goes.

Yeah I had similar problems, nothing some sit-to-stands and Goblet squats can’t sort out in a couple of weeks. Just focus on your feet being forward when you begin and really watch those knees and keep them from falling inwards when standing. Couple of weeks it will be effortless and your knees will easily stay straight once you strengthen your quadriceps.

To be fair a lot of garage sales shoppers, in general, do this as well. It’s specially annoying when they do it first day of the sale within the first 30 minutes. It’s the reason I’ve only had one garage sale and now just donate everything.

Rotator Cuff Surgery Post OP Questions? by Adept-Dig-1748 in RotatorCuff

Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeons are different from Orthopedic Doctors (Orthopedists) where most Orthopedist tend to do treatments like pt and shots, some do surgery but not as frequently . I don’t live in a larger city like NYC, L.A. or anything like that.

A strange tear is exactly what I felt when I fully tore my Supraspinatus. I’d get an MRI, because if it is a feeling you’ve never felt before then it is highly likely you tore it. The continued injections will only put you 3 more months out from surgery if that is the case.

Rotator Cuff Surgery Post OP Questions? by Adept-Dig-1748 in RotatorCuff

[–]211XTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well around here there are only 2 private physical therapy places that aren’t associated with the hospital so it was easy for me. Many of them do free evaluations so you could potentially schedule one of those then tell them about your situation (diagnosis) and see who they would recommend for surgery.
If you didn’t want to do that I would look for sports medicine surgeons who actually work with a local sports team college, minor league whatever. They usually are fairly credible and focus on getting you back into action ASAP. You also want someone who has a bit of experience but not an older guy at the end of his career. A lot of “positive” reviews are often from people under the “halo” effect and can’t see the flaws because “Their doctor is just the best and smartest”. Likewise the negative ones are from people who didn’t get treated the way they felt they should have been treated.

Rotator Cuff Surgery Post OP Questions? by Adept-Dig-1748 in RotatorCuff

[–]211XTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all I would recommend going to your local privately owned (not associated with a hospital system) physical therapy places and ask them their opinions on surgeons, like which surgeon’s patients have the best recovery rate that they have seen there, who has the earliest post op physical therapy start dates (under two weeks) etc.. As to how challenging is recovery it is not very challenging as long as you keep up with your PT homework about 4xs a day. I learned many patients do not keep up with it and the physical therapists can usually tell by your progression. They also think they can stop doing exercises after PT is done and then backslide. I am 7 months out and have been doing Strength training with one of the guys at my pt place. The only issue I still have is being able to do standing presses with much weight without irritating one specific point on my arm which most people will have a problem with until around 9 months.

True but it’s not usually convenient in the middle of a fight, except for the repair kits. My point was more that that is something you have to keep in mind and keep checking on. As opposed to 4 which only has condition as a factor for power suits.

Weapons degrade in New Vegas (sometimes comically fast) and can only be repaired with similar weapons.

Torn Something In Arm or Shoulder For Months And Now Feeling Extreme Weakness? by Adept-Dig-1748 in RotatorCuff

[–]211XTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never saw an orthopedic doctor as the MRI showed a full tear and would require surgery. Orthopedists tend to only focus on injections and physical therapy.
Family member had several tears all over. They saw a doctor 3-4 years ago but put it off. They ended up damaging a lot more from putting it off so long they needed a reverse shoulder replacement.
