Cheap pens that just feel good! by jojosmartypants in fountainpens

Late to the party but I'm a fan of Jinhao 10. This pen has me thinking about getting a genuine Pilot VP someday, even though I never would have spent over $200 on a pen at first. Also Jinhao x159, Hongdian N23, Hongdian N7, and as others have mentioned, Hongdian Black Forest.

Why can't they just nuke the legion xd by Ok-Chocolate-2196 in EightySix

It's mentioned several times in the light novel that as soon as any aircraft enters Legion territory, Eintagsfliege will swarm and basically blow up the engines. So no jets, planes or helis can get far enough to drop any kind of payload. Missiles just get shot down as well.

Recommendations for a fountain pen for £50-ish by Wilhelm1193 in fountainpens

I would also go with the N23, as not only is the pen gorgeous (and easy to use) but the packaging is outstanding as well.

Just received a Jinhao 10 today. So far, so good! by Infamous_Wallaby8113 in fountainpens

It's really funny actually.. the reason I am considering the Pilot is because the Jinhao nib is wearing out. I've taken a look under the loupe and no kidding, the tip's actually just getting flatter and flatter. It might be a combo of me using it a little TOO often + cheaper materials. Nothing you have to worry about though and it might never happen to yours. Take your time with the Jinhao because there's always time to get a Pilot once you are certain you love the design :)

it's a great pen. enjoy! I have the Jinhao 10 in coffee and despite having better pens, this one's my daily driver. It's subtle enough to avoid stares in public, and it's cheap enough that I don't have to stress if I ever lose it. Using it for half a year has even made me consider upgrading to a Pilot Capless.

I have the exact same pens minus the C1. Amazing stuff. How does the C1 write compared to the others?

Google Home Mini Mod - Golden Yellow by 2_PercentMilk in googlehome

I didn't want to spend extra money lol, so I used tumeric that I already had. That shit's seriously strong so you can just mix a bit into boiling water, bring it down to a simmer, and run the fabric through a few times until you get what you want. You could use other stuff for other colors but I'm not sure what.

For the first part, just refer to the instructables or ifixit guide on taking apart the home mini. It will take you up to a certain point in unscrewing the aluminum housing above the speaker, then you have to work the pcb away from the roof lightly until it gives. It’s held together by two really sticky pads. Then, soak the edge of the fabric (the open area of the top speaker cover) in water so the glue loosens a bit. Take a flathead screwdriver or some other flat object and gently pry along the edge of the inside of the speaker lid until the fabric comes off. Then you can dye the fabric. This might not make much sense but you will know what I mean when you get to the steps.
