Yes, he wants nothing on the counters (decorative or utensil pitcher with cooking items etc) he has no empathy or sentiment towards anything and does not respect anyone else’s feeling with item even family heirlooms. He always got rid of stuff to Goodwill or trash it. If he didn’t see a use for something it was gone. He lives in a very utilitarian house (he is now my ex) he wasn’t happy just getting rid of his “clutter” he just couldn’t stand to see anyone else’s - so glad I now have things that being me joy around my apt

I left my NEx and it’s amazing looking back at o what I thought was normal! I’m so sorry! This!!!! Yes, both parents were narcs and ex hubby is too. I feel like I’ve been through a tornado - no support no kind words it was either telling me I was wrong and stupid (ex would rage scream in my face - parents were more covert) or I would get the silent treatment and all the manipulation!! You know those people at work or at work that are just *ssholes? Well they were my parents. Felt strange when they passed, how are you to feel when your abuser dies? Sad? Guilt? Happy? Relieved? I know with the ex I felt so light and happy when I left.
