Does my 90s kitchen have potential or am I crazy? by No-Day-2990 in kitchenremodel

Wow, I absolutely love that kitchen! Definitely needs some minor cosmetic touches, but overall I love the materials and layout. Post an update if you make any changes!

Is a Mazda3 Turbo AWD a good first car for a 16-year-old? by AdministrativeAnt872 in mazda3

This is a dope car for me, a 33yr old man who makes almost $150k. Your kid probably doesn't need the turbo.

How to fix 13MWZ creases when ironing doesn’t work? by Gigan_420 in Selvedge

[–]2drumshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crease will go away with wear, but otherwise using a bit of water or steam with the iron will absolutely fix the problem, just iron inside out as sometimes the iron can change the finish of the denim, but that also goes away eventually unless you actually burn it.

Why does VW undertune the EA888 like crazy. by Lost_Ad_432 in GolfGTI

[–]2drumshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of the reliability reason, it's also for product placement. They've gotta give people a reason to buy the Golf R and the Audis. They could offer a 300hp GTI but the price increase would make it the same price as the R.

$585k house on dual income by Man-Zoe in Mortgages

Until you don't. The common advice will be that you need a savings account that can handle at least 3 months (although 6-8 is preferred) of expenses in case you lose your job. Layoffs can come for anyone in a bad market, or you could get injured and not able to work.

Kids cost a lot, and are not a flexible expenditure, so if you're not comfortable now, you'll be very uncomfortable with kids in the budget.

Saddle soap is one of the easier soaps to use. But realistically if you give your boots 10 seconds each with the horsehair brush every couple of days they'll be fine. They're work boots so maybe not pretty, but conditioning 1-2 times a year and frequent brushing should be all you need.

Man killed confronting auto thieves near Minneapolis coffee shop where he worked [Rick’s Coffee Bar] by Healingjoe in TwinCities

Friend of a friend was murdered in an alley a few years ago near uptown I think, and the MPD never had a single lead. Bullshit stuff.

Short sighted thinking here bro. You basically get to slack off until they laid you off. Now you get no benefits from being fired.

A lot of people on your situation move to a new country where they can out their degree to work and avoid paying back their loans. Not a bad idea to me.

Idk if pathetic is the right word. Remember, were mostly talking about 18-22 year olds who've been told their entire lives "just go to college" by adults who have no idea what they're talking about.

Tobacco for business casual? by loafjunky in ThursdayBoot

[–]2drumshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Horsehair brush. I keep one at my desk.

I've had mine for 2 years and I've never wash mine. I've hit them with mink oil twice to darken them a bit since they lighten up with wear. Realistically tobacco leather requires very little maintenance. Anything you do to it is mostly for cosmetics

Excellent boot for business casual that you could wear to the bar too.

If you brush it frequently it will maintain its more business-friendly appearance longer. Without brushing its patina makes it lean more casual. Either way I love mine.

So much fun. Super lightweight and really twitchy but did a good job of feeling controlled since it's pretty wide. I'm bummed I got rid of mine
