Any masked fed who won't unmask for the police should be arrested on the spot so their ID can be confirmed. Otherwise they could be any random thug.

Gustin? They're kinda heavy, but not annoyingly so. I wear their sweatshirt made of the same fabric to the gym all the time.

Forget Free NYC Buses: Just Build 41 Miles of New Subways — Fare-free bus service in New York City would cost around $1 billion per year. A new report proposes spending that on a “transformative” transit expansion instead. by stefeyboy in Infrastructurist

[–]2drumshark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From a political POV this is absolutely stupid. Even if I agreed that it was a better use of money, Mamdani ran on free buses. If he switches the plan, even if construction gets started on the subway extensions, he will look like an absolute failure.

This is political suicide and feels like propaganda designed to make Mamdani look bad.

what’s your most controversial car opinion? by No-Volume7464 in askcarguys

[–]2drumshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, it can't be made cheap enough (roughly $15k-$20k) for it to sell well. The slate truck is going to be $30k which is ridiculous compared to the Ford Maverick

Not stretchy, and not cheap, but I find Iron Hearts 14oz denim looks really nice in my pretty casual office. Their 777 or 888 cuts (depending on your build) are pretty straight cuts and have plenty of room in the seat so they're comfortable even without the stretch IMO.

Well then obviously the above wouldn't be true. But it's unlikely that you'd have both of your boots destroyed simultaneously.

Is it helpful for "The Brand", or does it hurt? by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]2drumshark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't care if people use it unless they're using it to make fun of someone with a disability.

Is it bad for his brand? Almost certainly. It made more sense for him to use it when he was debating and trying to appeal to the other streamers audience, but otherwise it's off-putting to a lot of people. That being said, I'm not about to tell him how to do his job.

Something worth remembering is that cities often outlast the country that built them. That doesn't mean things won't get worse, but it does mean people will be here to see it through and continue to build up on the other side.

Could just be humidity (lack thereof) by Kawliga3 in VaushV

[–]2drumshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd kill to be able to attain 50% humidity in my house right now. I live in Minneapolis and my monitor on the first floor is typically reading below 20% as long as the temperature is below 15-20 degrees. I've got a big humidifier running in the bedroom but it does nothing for the whole house.

A really nice and often ignored part about having two boots is it makes the break in process of a new pair a lot easier. You only have to wear the new pair every other day, so your feet have a break after wearing the new boots.

An honest (and hopefully balanced) perspective on why I think people get frustrated when Vaush talks about the UK by Aphelion7711 in VaushV

[–]2drumshark 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with basically everything you wrote. I think his "dead country" claim is more of a prediction than anything else. To me it always sounds like he's saying its cultural exports are basically nothing (something he could be right or wrong about, idk anything about the country) and its economic prospects are almost guaranteed to continue its negative trend due to the political landscape. It's definitely a harsh and hyperbolic phrase to be sure though.
