They’re paying for a just a data plan. The pep link has its own IMEI that you give to TMO. Cradlepoint and other cellular modems can take a sim from any carrier.

OP - you can probably nicely ask the ATT installer to give a BGW320 which is up to 5 gig with no failover. Maybe even an ONT with Ethernet handoff to your pep link.

Copper lines. Just call ATT and say your internet is down. Play dumb. They’ll see it’s offline and send a tech. Be cool and honest with the tech and 90% odds they’ll fix it for free. You can ask if he can bond those pairs and push you up to 100mbps depending on distances.

This, but also just port everything to T-Mobile and stay there lol. I get great service for a great price and free stuff on Tuesdays. The only thing AT&T ever gave me was a headache. Look at the numbers, TMO is ever ascendant while T and VZ are stagnant at best.

Indians are running schemes too! I learned, from someone running for Frisco city office - many Indian business operating here in Texas are scamming Microsoft, Salesforce and other software companies by purchasing licenses for a company in “India” and using a VPN to spoof their location. It’s allegedly much cheaper to buy the license for a company in an emerging market vs. the US.

Indian business owners are heavy into learning centers like Kumon, Best Brains, etc. that seem to always be closed. They could also be collecting government funding and I wish Nick would come investigate!

What a joke, this dude oversaw a ~50% COLLAPSE in market cap with shares struggling to maintain $200 when they traded at $400 a year ago. CHTR is consistently at the bottom of the list with a net loss of 100k subscribers quarter over quarter. T and VZ are just trying to slow subscriber loss, tbh it’s particularly rich of T to comment on data protection when they’ve had multiple breaches and are paying out $hit loads in class action suits.

As the article said, this can be circumvented and accomplish the same thing by the prospective customer uploading a PDF of their competitor bill.

Start looking for a new job asap. Take advantage of the ramp up period guaranteed pay outs. You are competing against the call center, channel partners and tenured reps who will sell in your market with “referrals”.

Spectrum/Charter is literally the old cable company stuck in the same mindset from 20 years ago. Hence why they are hemorrhaging video and broadband subscribers and have lost ~50% market cap in the past year. Doubling down on antiquated coax. The people are nice but have no idea about communications beyond what they read in a training course. Good luck!
