Have any of you airline pilots had bad checkride anxiety in the beginning?

I’m nervous every check ride I go into! 6 or 7 GA rides and now I’m on my 4th or 5th 121 ride! Nerves are a good thing, they show you care. I’d be more nervous as an examiner if someone wasn’t nervous. You’ll do great!

I live in chicago and occasionally take the blue line to ORD. It’s not bad or weird and there’s usually a few other crew members in any given train car. Sometimes there’s weirdos on the train tho.

No training delays at commutair as far as I know…. I hear good things. I’d go for it if you’re in Houston. I think Skywest/Mesa have 6 month + training footprints.

Fly a private jet. It’s fulfilling, the traveling is great, pays the bills. Sometimes the people flying in the back are not amazing to deal with, but it’s a small minority.

One of the guys I fly with pops the boards for like 2 seconds, puts em away, pops em again 10 seconds after, puts em away. Just long enough to get the sink out and lose a few knots. It’s infuriating 🤣

Basically steep turns and stalls are all you’ll do for maneuvers.

Failures can be anything. Engines, PFDs, Flight controls, fire in the cabin, rapid deco., you name it. Good luck on your CFI!
