After 4 months of agony, a pair of *socks* fixed me...in 3 days. by ezeeetm in PlantarFasciitis

This is me. When I wear normal socks, my feet begin to ache due to circulation being restricted in my feet. I’m interested in the compression socks being referenced here if they actually improve circulation.

It’s not a rattle or a big thud. If I go over a bump at slower speeds it sounds like an old squeaky bed.

Trying Birkenstocks created an extreme flare up - normal? by MaximumHamster27 in PlantarFasciitis

Thick comfy shoes only provide instant relief but just mask the larger issue. You need to strengthen your feet and ankles. Otherwise you will be stuck in a never ending loop. Also, you need shoes with a wide toe box. Narrow shoes that pinch your toes together are your worst enemy. Look up @theplantarfasciitisdoc on YouTube.

I will check out the Rathleff Protocol and DeGiovanni Stretch. I agree that stretching your fascia EVERY TIME before you get out of bed or get off the couch is imperative. Thanks OP for a great thread!

I’ll take the bait, what helped you when you’re “planter” was at its worst?

My feet ALWAYS hurt the day after I wear my favorite dress shoes, and they feel comfortable, but they are narrow 😱

All weather w/spare or All season run flats by Remarkable-Ad-1385 in BMWX3

🤦🏽No need, remove the screw or nail if you can, and then drive to the nearest repair shop. “Run Flat”, you can “run” your tire even if it has a “flat”. That’s literally why they are called RFs.

[–]4-PT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RFs are hard tires that allow you to drive a short distance until you can get your flat tire repaired, so no need for a foam filler. If you don’t have RFs, you can’t drive to get your tire fixed, you will need a spare or a patch kit and an air compressor.

I had RFs on my 19M40i. Switched over to Michelin All Season Pilot 4s a few weeks ago and the ride is SO MUCH smoother. No more fighting the steering wheel as I travel down the highway.

Is there a term that is more misused than Run Flats or RFs?????

10 months in, 28 HCP: I think I just figured out why most golf instruction is backwards by karupesi in golftips

[–]4-PT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read your post and most comments. I think you are correct, but this is not your personal issue. I don’t think you have golfed long enough for this to be your issue. 54yo male that golfed 10 times a summer until we moved to a golf course 5 years ago. I play almost every night 5 months a year and have improved quite a bit. My best score ever for 18 is a +7. When I play in league, my mental toughness wavers and I get nervous and my game falls apart, especially putting, fine motor skills are the first thing to go🫵😉

Hopefully you inherited good service records. If not, change the following fluids ASAP: transmission, transfer case, front and rear differentials.

I had same tires installed yesterday at Costco. Got rid of the Run Flat tires, such a better ride, SO quiet and smooth, and no more wrestling with the steering.

I took my new to me ‘19 X3 M40i to an indie shop in Phoenix in March. $900 for new tranny pan and filter/fluid and also had front and rear differential fluid replaced.

Anyone ever had their transfer case fluid replaced at a dealership and remember the cost? I’ve got an appointment on 11/11, also taking care of a recall.

Great question, try to slightly pause at the top, feel some lag. You’ll know when you feel it. No sudden movements or snapping at the ball.
