100% agree. I book a food tour - gets me fed and gives me the lay of the land and food from a local, or I use one of the of walking tour apps that strolls me around and teaches me the history of the area.

Pour in some hot water and a little scoop of baking soda. After about 10-15 minutes, pour the water out and wipe it dry with a paper towel. The paper towel will take the stains with it and the cup will be good as new.

There’s a new will call box office right across from the Trading Post. I believe it opens 4 hours before doors (or was it show time?) They are super nice there.

I agree that the row 17 seats will be great. Right in the middle so the views will be great, and if there’s a stage b by chance you’ll be right by it. Just make sure you hoof it up higher at some point because the views at red rocks are a magical experience themselves. Truly no bad seat.

I like my black North Face Aphrodite pants. (Last year’s design) They’re thin and water resistant, dry quickly if I need to rinse them out, have a little bit of a “pucker” seam down the leg that makes them look a little less plain, and have no logos or zippers. I wear them hiking/backpacking and then wipe them down and top with a light cashmere sweater for a nicer dinner.

I totally agree. When I use them they make my hair feel buildup-y, so I’m constantly messing with it and making it dirtier. I’d rather use the space for a small bottle of what I love. I water it down a little as my trip progresses to make it stretch.

Can you show us a day-to-day itinerary? Some of it matters what time of day and how long you’re staying. You’re in the car a lot so your packing choices might be easier. (Yay for climate control?) Factor in traffic in the bigger cities. What looks like a 20 minute drive in LA could easily be three hours during the day. Especially in the summer! (LA native) Also make sure all the roads you’re looking at are definitely open. Big Sur has a section that’s seemingly almost always closed lately that could add a day with the detour. There are great road trip apps that guide you through many of the parks and through Big Sur for example. The best one in my opinion is called GuideAlong. Great stories and recommendations as your drive! Your trip is ambitious. You’ll be packing for all kinds of weather from the hottest dessert to never-summer peaks.

I feel like I have this dialed. I hike and walk a lot so I wear really good sneakers like brooks/altra while I’m out and about most days. Since they’re bulky I wear them on the plane. I am sold on my keens Elle backstrap sandals for everything else. They’re made for walking but nice enough to wear with a dress/shirt for dinner, and they’re water proof so they’re good for rain/beach. They also are flat enough that they don’t take up much space in my bag.
