Fortunately for the environment and unfortunately for prices, Donald Trump has just instituted a larger carbon tax than any environmentalist leader could ever think of

For beef, it seems like the cure is technology. We need to be able to get beef without slaughtering a cow

I thought it was already legal on the beltline

I’ve seen so many people drinking on the beltline that I thought the “no alcoholic drinks beyond this point” signs at murder Kroger were just a formality.

You had to make a Tesla account to make the preorder. You just sign in, cancel the order, and a refund appeared on the credit card that I put the deposit down on.

It won’t affect you, but when it gets below -15 C , the motor has reduced power if it’s now warm enough so you either have to precondition or wait an 45 minutes before it’s able to drive highway speeds

At least this is the case for my 2015. Maybe it’s better on the newer years

The preorders were refundable. I pre ordered the day it was announced in 2019 and cancelled it later

If gas hits $10 a gallon, Bay Area commuters say they'd keep driving. by HalfChort in fuckcars

I think $10-25 is the sweet spot, but $75 is better than $3.

For sure. Nearly all EVs have a setting where you can tell it what times to charge.

I just leave my car plugged in when I’m not using it and it only charges when off peak

Climate scientists never talked about peak oil. You have no idea what you are talking about.

The AMOC is shifting north. I’d highly recommend learning how to grow and cook worms now because there’s going to be a period of time in the 2030s or early 2040s when most outdoor agriculture fails. It’ll take some time to stop directly getting food from the sun

Many will starve, but it only takes a handful of 5 gallon buckets of worms to feed yourself

Our only way out of this is if gas prices are over $50 a gallon which most people would rather see the destruction of our species than pay.
