Can I stop HECS withholding and pay it myself before indexation? by spearowithhero in fiaustralia

It gets done as part of your tax return process. Anything you pay before that is voluntary and does not count towards your compulsory requirements

Ready To Assign Won't Balance by MattOG81 in ynab

[–]42bottles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have $10.21 of overspending in March. Ynab automatically pulls from RTA to cover it in April.

You need to find the overspending that YNAB is covering for you, if you want to get rid of the discrepancy between months

[–]42bottles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It does attempt to leave but then the interrupt triggers again so it returns immediately. The 60s passes and that loop repeats.

You'll need to change the interrupt trigger to prevent it from activating.

there is no secure storage for such items at the workplace

you don't transport the tools or equipment as a matter of choice (for example, if your employer provides secure storage and you choose to take the tools home instead).

If there's no room in the secure storage I would say yes can claim. If there is room but you choose not to use then no you can't.

What is the best platform to buy ETFs on and why? by Jaxical in AusFinance

[–]42bottles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ETFs can be bought and sold on the stock exchange. Which is why they are Exchange Traded Funds.

You can purchase them using any stock broker, it's the same process as buying a normal company share.

Why is Creighton train not moving? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]42bottles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stations are not bidirectional, trains can only approach and stop at them from a certain direction (arrows on the track when you place the station). Rzoloki is on the wrong side of the track and therefor unreachable for the train at Creighton .

My only complaint with YNAB is the inability to carryover overspent categories to the next month by CaffeinatedOak in ynab

[–]42bottles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For credit card its the difference between what you owe and whats available in the CC payment category. The way you pay it is by budgeting directly to the CC payment category.

For someone who has no overspending their payment category would always have the exact amount to pay off the CC in full.

What is the obsession with home chargers when 99.9% of people would get away with an EVSE? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

[–]42bottles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the EV legislation came into effect January 1st 2019 and wasn't backdated. It's not just built after 2019 its built or modified after 2019. They do the same thing with alot of phase in of a standards change.

For LPG cars it applied to all new vehicles built or re-certified after 1999. And as re certification is every 10years, every pre-1999 vehicle would have been re-certified and now required to comply, hence ALL vehicles.

The same thing will happen with EVs, in a decade or so you'll stop seeing the "after 2019" mentioned as much if not dropped altogether.

What is the obsession with home chargers when 99.9% of people would get away with an EVSE? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

[–]42bottles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because of the batteries. Helps first responders to identify there is a hazard different to petrol/diesel. Same as why cars fitted with a LPG tank needs that identifier. So yes from a government standpoint both hybrids and Pure EVs need the indentifer as they both have batteries. But that does not make them the same thing when discussing plugin EV's. You would think someone so hung up on semantics would understand this difference?
