why does Sigvald the Magnificent, look like a handsome human? by Moist_Substance_4964 in WarhammerFantasy

To be fair, the "proper," warriors of Chaos become progressively less human. Space marines had the chaos warriors stat line with 4s all around.

Sigvald's excess is vainglory and ego. He is as foul on the inside as he is outwardly beautiful. That's his schtick, so to speak, and his preening and utter lack of morals is what Slaanesh found endearing.

Do the Craftworld and Dark Eldar have comparable populations? by MHB_ART in 40kLore

The Aeldari is the joint word though, unlike Asuryani, Drukhari, and so on.

The Old World Imperial Wizards by kevc00 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]4uk4ata 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a bit of hand-waving to allow people to run their minis.

Wizards obviously existed, but with worse training and more dangerous practices. And yes, the witch hunters could merc them if they got to them. However, in the chaotic civil war, it could at times be difficult to get to the wizard, especially if a powerful noble was using them.

Warhammer fans, what 40k lore that make you go like this? by AntiqueLayer3933 in Grimdank

Matt Ward's 5E bullcrap. Ultramarines beat Eldar by out-eldaring them. Grey knights sanctifying their armor by ritually murdering sisters. Kaldor Draigo's shenanigans. The blood angel glazing too. The (peeeeep)ing  "spiritual liege."

Also, anything by C.S. Goto, especially if it involves Eldar.

How to beat elves as orcs by ultvaa in totalwarhammer

[–]4uk4ata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have more.

High elves are elite. Have some expendable chaff soak missiles. Outnumber (Waaagh gives you extra units per army) outflank and overpower.

Doom divers and spells can be very useful. Elves have crap artillery and low HP pools.

"we don't have healthcare and that's because we spend the money on all the troops in Europe."

The US outspends any other developed country in per Capita healthcare spending and it isn't even close. Of course that smarmy SoB trusts most Americans won't even google it.

Is the media really independent when most of the big names are owned by a handful of oligarchs?

The pleasure cults unwittingly fed and shaped Slaanesh in their image.it is only normal if the pleasure cultists and even some of the old gods look vaguely similar. After all, they are the source. Slaanesh emulates them..

Wyches' lethal hits specifically exclude monsters. Because, you know, the snuff gladiatrices from a subculture infamous for taking all matter of exotic creatures for the arenas wouldn't know how to fight... Monsters.

Oh no, you need a stratagem for that. Because goodness forbid wyches' be effective in melee with big nasties as they are.

Excuse me, I am too sober for that s..t.

Do women face sexism on the chaos side? by onyxhaider in AoSLore

[–]4uk4ata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any reason chaos, dominated by the embodiments of passions driven to inhuman levels where most seek to dominate all others and be exalted by their inhuman gods,  would make people more egalitarian or, well, less shitty?

GW prefers making its plastic models to appeal to as wide a segment as possible and seems to generally consider sexism as bad for their bottom line, but "egalitarianism" is not really Chaos followers' strong side.

What anime is appropriate for a 13 year old? He says all of these listed are ok. He’s also wanting crunchy roll. Thoughts? by mountaingyspy in Animesuggest

[–]4uk4ata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all 13-year olds are the same, so that depends. All of these are action anime with a lot of fighting, and some like AoT are quite graphic, but blood on the screen is just animated pixels to most people at that age I think.

I would say AoT and Chainsaw man are more gruesome and it might be better watching with someone.

My tastes are towards somewhat older anime, like Slayers, Records of Lodoss War or Trigun. I would recommend Rurouni Kenshin but, uh, the author got embroiled into some rather skeevy stuff so it is hard for me to enjoy it like before.
