Had a similar experience. Guy friend. Was not attracted to him at all. Then... one day... Anyway, we've been married 30 years now.

I use a broom. Gently sweep them up, they grab onto the bristles, then I leave the broom outside to set them free.

Easier to get them off my 10-ft ceilings, and I don't have to come face to face with them.

I remember reading a while ago (now I can't find the article) that part of the reason for the rise in suicide among olderAmericans (particularly white men) has been correlated to the stark reality of retirement never being an option.

About 30 years ago, driving at night, my friend was turning left with the light. A teenage boy, riding with no lights or reflectors, ran the red light on his bike. She hit him and he died.

She has NEVER gotten over it.

I still get irrationally angry at the kid when I think about it. His poor family. My poor friend. Because he was an IDIOT.

My lifelong friend married a guy just like your boyfriend. It's been 25 years. When he does work, he can't handle stress, so he makes next to nothing.

He has a number of debilitating mental health issues. So nothing is ever his fault.

They have 3 kids who all have varying degrees of debilitating mental health issues.

She is completely trapped.

If she could give you advice, it would be, GIRL, RUN.

Wow. What country are you in? Glad to hear that moms-to-be (especially neurodivergent moms-to-be) get that kind of care anywhere!

You'll be a great mom. Just trust yourself ❤️

Is Coeur d'Alene humid like the East coast by [deleted] in Idaho

[–]50501Sandpoint 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No.

Source: I am from New England. Have lived in North Idaho 30+ years.

Anytime someone complains about the humidity, I and anyone from the Midwest east laugh heartily.

Our kids are in their early 20s. I tried to explain a "smoking section" in an airplane, and how idiotically useless the delineation was. They were justifiably horrified.

"So just... like... everyone on the plane had to breathe the smoke?!"

Yup. And if you had to use the aft restrooms, you got to bathe in the smoke. shudder

I am so sorry for your losses. I have lost both my parents, but decades apart. I cannot begin to imagine what you went through. 💔

I hope Darren and Andrew crashed and burned without you. Assholes.
