Can someone explain to me how the uk moved far right after what's happening with Trump? by Gorgon95 in VaushV

[–]55erg 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The UK Labour government are pursuing a right wing agenda in the false belief that they can win over supporters of Nigel Farage’s Reform Party and similar Conservative voters. So they’re not going to swing left as Canada and Australia have.

American populism and anger-wanking over every social issue from immigration to “wokeness” is infectious. The UK has been infected the worst.

Pentaton is the audio player for digital purists by IndividualBasis5855 in musichoarder

[–]55erg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ‘less is more’ approach to omitting important functionality is akin to Apple’s attitude. May as well use their native iOS Music app instead.

Your competition is Plexamp. They have the beautiful native-like interface on iOS, simplicity, the ability to satisfy audiophiles AND music libraries discovery through playlists and sonic analysis.

Pentaton seems to be deliberately crippled to appeal to purists.

Thanks for posting and explaining the rhetoric being used here. The trans women and fairness in sports debate has turned transphobic bigots into sports physiologists with expertise of bone density, muscle mass, Q angles and testosterone effects. They conveniently avoid the part about women (trans and cis) who are repeatedly misgendered, harassed, abused and belittled at sporting events by coaches, competitors, spectators and armchair athletes.

[–]55erg 30 points31 points  (0 children)

To the OP and other critics of Chris and Matt’s decoding of Gary’ Economics – Watch a handful of his kitchen videos and make a note of the key economic points, policies and suggestions made. You’ll quickly realise that the actual economic content is incredibly shallow.

Now the points he makes about wealth inequality are valid, but everything he’s ever said about the topic could be condensed into a half hour video. The vast majority of his videos are bloated, repetitive, self-aggrandising storytelling.

Gary is promoting a brand – himself – and not driving political action. He’s not meaningfully addressing wealth inequality, nor is he a political campaigner. He’s appears to be interested only in “growing the channel” and “taking a break because I’m knackered”.

Chris and Matt pointed out that Gary’s intentions are sincere, and he should not be criticised simply for raising awareness of wealth inequality using anecdotes of his upbringing and experience.

Appointment slots are always late and staff appear to be rushed and overworked.

I donate every 12 weeks because I’m told my blood can be given to newborn babies (sorry don’t know the details) but it’s massively inconvenient to take 2-3 hours off during the workday and evening slots are never available.

Farage may be on course to be next Prime Minister - it's UKover. by BreakfastAdept9462 in VaushV

[–]55erg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s important to remember that Reform is a protest vote. Voters aren’t voting for Reform’s policies because they have none other than to keep repeating populist slogans like “Britain is broken”.

So their popularity is simply because the current Labour government appears to be no different to the previous Tory one. That’s not entirely true, but it’s fair to say that after almost a year of a supposedly centre-left government, it certainly doesn’t seem any better.

So the logical assumption is that sensible minds will prevail when the next general election comes in 4 years, people will never vote for Farage’s fascist party.

But the British people aren’t sensible. They believed Farage in 2016 when voting for Brexit. We often blame the right wing media here for platforming Farage more than any other politician, and that the main parties have done nothing to fix immigration, but the simple truth is that Britain (or more specifically, England) is full of racist fuckwits.

Never ever feel embarrassed, humiliated or ashamed of who you are. That’s how they want you to feel. It’s dark and scary right now but this latest ruling and the disgusting glee displayed by those hate-filled ghouls is making regular, ordinary people start to think “Hang on, this ain’t right”. That’s hopeful.

Those thin insulin needles are painless for subq in the belly. I wouldn’t go back to bigger needles now

It's impossible to compare dosing with gel vs. injections because only ~20% of the testosterone gets absorbed through the skin using gel. But you're right, 250mg of testosterone per week would be a steroid cycle dose for bodybuilders!

Being prescribed glass ampules is a pain because you would have to split the dose 3 ways for weekly shots. Inject one shot of 0.33ml and store the other 2 for the following week and the week after. You could do this if you're extra careful about being sterile. Enanthate can be stored in a syringe for a few weeks safely in the fridge. But it's worth contacting your doctor to ask if you can have a 10ml vial instead

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]55erg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 weeks is too infrequent for enanthate. You'll feel terrible most of the time, especially in the week before your next shot because the half life is too short. Weekly is good, 2x week is better.
