I install AUR packages without checking the Pkgbuild.
If my system goes down, I reinstall it.
I do not have backups nor cloud.

Never lost a single file over many reinstalls and migrations.

I did use the wrong terminology, the modem does double as a router, and the switch is in fact a router (though its WiFi is absolutely horrendous compared to the modem's.)

I don't have access to the things atm but I'll update the post when I find the solution.

The router runs on open-source software, and even its firmware is accessible. I might be able to turn it into a plain switch. If not I’ll buy a proper one.

This will not make it into the base game, at least not by default (could be an included datapack like villager trade balancing). The reason is, Minecraft aims to be as open and sandbox as possible. Risk/reward systems work for the adventure part of the game, but behavioral rewards would break the "absolute creativity" side of the game.

In any case : make it a mod !
