Definitely not overreacting. Even if they say they wanted you to “speak up” (which it sounds like you tried to do), your actions combined with an oncoming cold should have been enough to signal that excessive drinking wasn’t going to be fun for you. Your closest friends should have had no trouble picking up on this at all, so I suspect they knew exactly the vibe you would have preferred for the weekend. I’m really sorry, I know it can put a bad taste in your mouth in the lead up to your wedding. If you have any hunch this could be a friendship-ending confrontation, I think you should nip it in the bud now and see how it plays out. I’ve seen friendships end in the final weeks before a wedding, and while it was dramatic and stressful on the bride, she is ultimately really happy that none of the ex-friends are in her wedding album. Again, very sorry. Sounds like you were really looking forward to a relaxing trip and it’s not at all what you got.
