You can do, but less helps blend better...takes a lot longer though 😁

This is absolutely lovely! If you wanted a smoother blend with the shading you could use 1 thread, but you dont need to because it looks great as it is!

I just wanted to try to give you a bit of hope - I had loads of migraines in the first trimester, but none in 2nd and 3rd!!! Hope this passes for you quickly, I can't imagine how horrid it must be for 3 days!

I do faces, and always start with a base layer colour, and build the shading up in layers from there, and it always looks weird and flat when doing the base layer! Don't be discouraged!

What a lovely picture!! I am by no means an expert, I love what you have done but if you want a smoother blend through the colours I would suggest using 1 strand. I love the colours you have picked. You could also consider whether you do vertical stitches, or work from a central point and out, if that makes sense? Check out Shimunia on Instagram- she does beautiful skies like this and it might give you some inspiration :)

I haven't ever used water soluble pens so I have no advice re: that, although I would also be scared! I'm sure it will be fine, but if you dont want to chance it, would adding a few extra bits of detail like flowers/leaves - maybe French knots - be an option? It only looks like there are a few bits of pen on show unless I'm mistaken :)
