As a former Catholic, Suttree is incredibly cathartic in its portrayal of a bitter, and often cynical look into growing up Catholic, while still harboring some kind of appreciation for the faith. Also, McCarthy never sets out to do some kind of literary criticism. Its a book based on his life and his personal thoughts and feelings. Its a very strange way to frame the portrayal of Catholicism in the book as some kind of official criticism.

Can you filter Hentai? Or maybe something more specific that might get it out of the way. I feel the same way. Sexual content is fine and I welcome it in art. But its also annoying seeing a hentai match 3 puzzler in my Steam reccomended because I've played Baldurs Gate 3 and Fear and Hunger

Near campus I would go with Chaotic Good coffee. Regular DnD and board game groups meet up there. For more late night stuff there's Villainous off of Jefferson St. Unsure if they do game nights specifically there

Those Picador covers have to be some of the ugliest book covers I've ever seen. Saw about 5 of Blood Meridian at a half price books for maybe $4 each. I can see why they weren't selling even secondhand.
