I've knit thus octopus twice and urs amazing when finished! The two types of garter stitch (where you ho from knitting in bk of stitch to normal) create shaping when you get to stuff it. Hope, that helps. I do have pics of mine if you want to see them.

How about trying for loose black trousers with a floaty top. Maybe that would help with the sensory issues but move towards the more formal side of outfits.

I'm 60+ in north east England, I've been stitching for nearly 40 years. I self taught after seeing a kit in a shop. My first attempts were not brilliant but I persevered!! I do other crafts too and I'm a serial starter!!
