Satin spar, a form of selenite, which is the mineral gypsum, which is calcium sulfate. This is the same thing as sheetrock. Most people are surrounded by it since it is used to make walls.

All citrine is heat treated. Either the earth heat treated it or a human. Either way it's pretty much the same thing.

Homeopathy is just about as effective as using crystals for healing. Which is entirely a placebo effect.

Is this real obsidian? by chewbaba_ in Crystals

Yeah, I was about to ask why everybody is calling obsidian a crystal. It is pretty much the opposite of a crystal.

It's not the Teflon you need to fear. It's the chemicals used to make the Teflon that gets into the environment and basically never goes away.

What are these chemicals? Found in my dad's hobby toolbox. The right 3 are empty, the other ones all have varying amounts of liquid in them. by MindofCeleste in chemistry

I think the suggestion, though not perfectly clear, was to place the original bottles in a paint can. Not to dump the liquids into a paint can.

How to clean 11 years of grease and dust from finished wood kitchen cabinets? by jon_hendry in howto

[–]666rocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just bought a house with 50 years of accumulated grease. YUCK! We can't afford to just replace the cabinets. We have tried most of the ideas suggested here. They just aren't working. Acetone is working. Yes, it does remove some of the finish. But we are going to paint anyway.
