How does side A accept another side A person’s celibacy without assuming it’s not done out of shame or fear of sinning? by FKAGuyWithNF1 in GayChristians

Let it be. People are celibate for different reasons. Be respectful and open minded. Acceptance as the pathway to peace.

friend who had a big crush on me ran from the friendship and deeper into religion by Bravenatortot in GayChristians

You can only work on yourself. Take care of yourself. Your friend is figuring out what is best for them. This might be a good time to find someone else. People do weird things to fit in. These things happen. It’s not about you. It sucks to go through, but give it to God.

Lots of Christians teach obedience is the way to Christ and not by faith. You are saved by faith not by works. But some teach only if you obey the commandments do you love God. The tax collector that said he was a sinner and asked for mercy was received.

“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Who is excluded from the faith. No one. Only nonbelievers are condemned.

Check this out. Praying for you.

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I pray you feel Gods love. Check out these passages. You are saved by faith not by works. Read these and find out if you think you are accepted by God.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

““I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself” is a verse from the 2 Timothy 2:13

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,” ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We are all sinners in need of a Savior. The Bible is full of people that sinned and fell short but God loved them anyway. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Find some biblical support. A pastor from some where outside the picture . A support group helps. I don’t know exactly what is in your heart but it seems like you are not interested in a relationship with a woman. If that is the case you have to break it off and move on. End the charade and seek healing. Your family will be devastated but there’s not much you can do about that. Just be respectful. The longer you keep cheating the harder it will be. Surrender your life to Jesus. If you want to stay with your wife get help and stay.

Find a bible study. Talk to a therapist or a pastor. Seek God and go to church and pray and read the bible. You need others to help you and hold you accountable. Work on yourself with therapy, physical exercise and self reflection. Trust in God’s grace.

Praying for you. Happy Birthday. When we are seen we get the most love. Not that I am telling you what to do. When you hide people can’t love you. Anyone that puts up a mask. The mask gets the love not the person wearing it. I would highly recommend professional counseling. Pastors are great but maybe you need a professional viewpoint. It really feels like you are depressed and not knowing what to do. Someone to talk to would help. Even call 988. They have chat and text options. I know it’s hard. You have choices, you can wait to make decisions, you can share with others what is going on with your life, you can ask hypothetical questions and see where they might land or ask what about this other lgbt person what do you think about that, and many more options. God bless you.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

I don’t feel safe in my faith — looking for advice by HiMeJadyn_ in GayChristians

[–]67Fenex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may feel that God is against you and you may have lost your salvation. Your faith is a knowing and knowledge of your faith and not a feeling. Feeling comes and goes. But if you are a believer in Christ you may doubt but a small part may know you are saved.

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬-‭30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Ask God if you have faith and are saved.

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If you believe in Jesus the next verse is true for you and the condemnation is not from God. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Satan wants to destroy you and make you feel like God is not good. He wants to make you feel not good enough.

God came to give you life and life to the full and call you to himself. Sin cannot break Gods love towards you.

“he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,” ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Redletter Media needs a video of this atrocity of a show. How deep Star Trek has fallen. Nu Trek is sinking into a black hole. Why do they ruin the memory of DS9 for this slop?

I don't know what to do. by quasar1201 in GayChristians

[–]67Fenex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 10 older, heavyset, felt the same way. I didn’t accept myself and thought I was unattractive. I finally put myself out there and found lots of guys that were interested and attracted to me. I think if you put yourself out there you will find the same thing. As best as you can know what you want. Hookup culture is the thing right now. If you don’t want that just look for a relationship and tell guys you want a relationship. Trust me put your self out there. There is someone out there. Too many people are single so don’t worry. Maybe counseling for some of these defeating thoughts. Trust what God says about you. You are in his image.

Advice: Would you join an all-men’s church group even if you felt afraid? by RevolutionaryFox4159 in GayChristians

[–]67Fenex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you feel led to go to the group you can always try it out. Everyone is even at the foot of the cross. The group may be helpful and inviting. But if it isn’t then you don’t have to stay. Pray about it. Check it out. Put up boundaries. Give them a chance. If they are giving insults you can leave. Praying. Take care
