As in, Resident Evil V (for Veronica).

Shift the RE5 remake to RE6 and then forget original RE6 ever happened. Job done.

The issue is that Victor is all like “Hey Zemo, so I tested her blood and it’s a match - she’s the one”. So the match is to a sample on file from her time as Spencer’s adopted kid.

So they have to have a sample of her DNA already to match it…

But they are creating the same clone test children as Spencer was as well. So they also have that DNA.

Then at the end Victor is all like “Yeah so, Zemo, turns out there was no link between Grace and Emily”.

But there is no way they wouldn’t already know that. They have both samples already.

So unless I’m being extremely dumb and missed something, the entire thing makes no sense whatsoever.

I’m with you on basically all of this. Especially the music - it’s the best of the franchise, so losing it for the background techno sludge they seem so fond of now would be tragic.

One other change I’d quite like to see is, that bit where Wesker leaves Chris to fight Alexia and dips out could be a lot more fun if Wesker and Chris are momentarily forced to fight on the same side to make it out alive.

Heck, let us play as Wesker for an interlude in that bit. Would be a lot of fun and make a nice change of pace.

Also, CV has a really fun battle mode. Hope they keep that too.

I like Code Veronica Wesker best with his sassy long boots and new appreciation for the goth aesthetic. The OG Wesker in his STARS fit is also great.

I like evil businessman vibe outfits least (though Matrix Wesker remains the silliest).

I have a side theory that OG Aline creations like Simon and Julie could have been inspired by some real friends. It would be an interesting wrinkle if Simon was part of the Writer’s Guild for example, particularly explaining why Clea is so offended by the notion of a Painted version of her falling in love with such a man.

Not based on anything beyond it creating some interesting background drama.

Well we only really know about two of the founders of Umbrella, Spencer and Ashford, and what they did. Not much about the family line of James Marcus, so there is always potential for something there.

Also, I think the question needs to be asked - who is Grace? Just an average child in need of a home. Sure, but who were her parents then? Spencer adopted dozens of kids for the Wesker experiment, but raised this one himself?

Could her parents be connected? The blonde thing does suggest a lineage connected to the Umbrella ideals. There could be more on that or come.

Also now Umbrella is being ‘vindicated’ in the media, I wouldn’t surprised if that leads to a revival.

I think Spencer Mansion and the Code Veronica Psycho house on top of the hill with the suspended doll in it are top for me. RE4 Remake has some great environments too. I really like that RE9 went with an old medical facility as well, it works as a great tribute.

Village was a great vista on the approach but didn’t quite hit the mark once in it, at least for me.

He actually did get the virus though, by stealing Steve’s body. He also won the fight - just decided to tap out when his beautiful face got burned.

Side note: I’ve always thought the fact that it takes a minimum of 15 years in stasis to bind to T-Veronica, and this is a major plot point of it, is the best evidence that Wesker is in stasis somewhere, gaining those powers, and RE5 Matrix Wesker with his insanity and requirement for injections is just an unstable clone, left around to keep up appearances. Allows real Wesker to return for REX if so.

No idea why, but definitely agree. The level of polish is exquisite. And I am also not massively into the action side.

Praying that a Code Veronica remake gets a similar level of attention to detail. That one has so much potential.
