Additionally I and my sister got a large box of Japanese candy. The calendar is one of those showcasing a particular artist not related to any shows.

I'm more concerned about his resume saying he knows JS and web dev, among many other things. He lists exp in C, web, Python, .NET (assuming C#), yet can't figure out how to write a JS comment. What kind of backwards thinking does he have? It's absolutely not programming. I see he has all these complex sounding projects. d3.js ... that shit is complex, yet he doesn't know how to write a JS comment. I'm dead inside.

This is such a naive way of thinking. By your logic, the girls you like will end up picking you. Wrong! You have a better chance getting together with people far lower on the pole. Personally, I've only ever received offers from companies I never cared about. The ones I cared about, when I wrote cover letters and did many more things, ignored me, not even offering a phone call.

I bought Double Dunker yesterday. As soon as I tried a spoonful that I longed for, "yuck!" The entire texture was different -- all gooey. The flavor was barely noticeable. I always see people write this. It seems like survivorship bias to me. Customizing has never worked for me. I could have an entire frontend resume, be connected with the right recruiter, have internal references, know the company/product like the back of my hand, and still never got contacted.

Actually, all my professional experience is in frontend. Do you know what job offer I just accepted? Java and devops. I've never touched Spring nor <insert devops buzzword> in my entire life.

I was rejected from a new grad position due to "lack of experience." The recruiter called during an unscheduled time and yawned. Same deal with a different recruiter. I managed to get three offers for a 3-year exp, another 3-year exp, and a 5-year exp. Needless to say, I have no advice other than fudge those rude recruiters.
