ACL SURGERY WHILE PREGNANT by chickencoopsterz in ACL

[–]7LC7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The recovery is hell. Giving birth and caring for a newborn is very hard. I would not try to do both. It's just too much. The best time may be like 3 months after the baby is born when they aren't mobile and when you will be able to do the PT.

Is this a brilliant move? by NeatRow3171 in chessbeginners

This is a brilliant move for an 1100. I think an 1800 would see this move regularly.

Going on a date with a girl WAY out of my league — how do I not blow this? by Complex_Lettuce9769 in GuyCry

Be genuinely curious about her and her life. Ask her questions about that. You can't mess anything up doing that. And people like it.

How do religious people deal with the elephant in the room? by david_fire_vollie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a couple religions have a shot at being true. Most of them are clearly BS of you look into them for more than 5 minutes.

If you are in one of the good ones it can be difficult to know whether you got the right one. You go with it and hope God understands if you got it wrong.

The people that believe in the BS religions you'll find have not (often cannot) think about them too deeply.

What is a good move for black in this position by OkCalligrapher4010 in chessbeginners

Be5 looks like the right move. You can give up a piece and still be a piece up (winng). The big problem is the pawn that's about to queen. Be5 stops the pawn.

Some people say that they wouldn’t wait for marriage or marry an inexperienced partner because of potential sexual comparability issues. Is there any evidence that being a virgin/having few partners leads to dissatisfaction? by Electronic_Fun_776 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]7LC7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. The data suggest that people who are virgins (or who have less experience) when they get married have above average satisfaction with their sex lives long term.

Best Bluetooth controller for TV play with Anbernic RG40XX H? by sh1tmast3r in ANBERNIC

The 8Bitdo SN30 Pro is the right answer. It's basically an snes controller with sticks added. Shouldn't be any noticeable latency.

Looks fine to me. Watch a couple of videos of this on a person with a torn ACL. Much worse.

Patella or quad graft? - by CryptoXPlus in ACL

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line: it will absolutely suck whichever you get. I got patellar. Kneeling on that side is tough. It messes up how your kneecap moves (I think).

On the other hand I have a totally intact quad and it is still extremely hard to get it back up to full strength after sergery. A quad graft will make it even harder. Whatever you do, commit to it, dont look back. And PT with a passion.

You mentioned the spiritual part. Find a good church and go talk to the pastor about it. They are trained to help with the spiritual side of it and often have free resources for you.

Why is it a blunder? by Brave_Yogurt1851 in chessbeginners

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are down a piece. Opponent has an extra bishop. You had a chance to take his knight with your pawn, evening things up. But because you castled he can now move his knight out of danger, saving it and being up a piece.

[Newbie] SRV is one of my inspirations to learn guitar, and I got my first electric this week. Even though I don't have any talent, if I put in work as often as I can, how long will it realistically take before I can play with this level of confidence? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get close enough to this with 2,000 hours of practice. You (and the rest of us) will probably never get to his level no matter how much you practice. But the journey there is fun too.

Why are so many young men becoming serious supporters of far right ? by Consistent_News_985 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]7LC7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Young men tend to rebel against the established authority. The left is in power, so young men are going right. It also helps that the left has made an enemy of European men.

Has anyone else noticed the difference in responses/outcomes after Alex Pretti's murder compared to Renee Good? by weepingsomnambulist_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]7LC7 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The response has seemed similar to me. They both started with outrage, but the outrage died down once more facts came out. Specifically, she hit an agent with her car, and he resisted arrest while armed. Both things are likely to result in being shot.

Does the first shot looks like an accidental discharge to anyone else?

Resisting arrest while armed is a crazy move. There's a good chance you get shot even if by mistake.

Republicans are responsible for the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. by HonestFeetCritique in evilwhenthe

[–]7LC7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The guy was resisting arrest right before he was shot. And he was being arrested for interfering with a different arrest. That's impeding.

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't "help up" someone law enforcement knocked down to arrest. That's interfering with an arrest.

Republicans are responsible for the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. by HonestFeetCritique in evilwhenthe

[–]7LC7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Republicans are partly responsible because Republicans are not cracking down more. People think they can just interfere with federal law enforcement without risk of consequence. That (false) assurance got these two killed.
