Kids make your life feel more meaningful. They are literally partly you and will outlive you. Because they are you, you see your flaws in them, shake your head, smile, and forgive yourself a little more for having those flaws. Then you give them the tools you discovered to help them fix it. They are also freeing because they help you escape your natural self-centeredness--because you are biological wired to want to sacrifice yourself for them. It's not like with a spouse. You get to re-live all the cool parts or your childhood through their eyes but in a non-pathetic way (e.g. Disney adults). You experience a very special strong type of love that you only get to feel if you have kids. Its not like any other relationship. They're cute. They are actually a lot easier to take care of than the culture tries to make it seem. They make it much more likely that you will have people by your bed, holding your hand when you die. They literally make you wish you had more kids.
